So LBJ is a UFA and Draymond Green can opt out of his 2023-2024 season next July.

Draymond wants a max contract and is a Klutch client.

LBJ makes the Lakers give him a max deal and then he'll sign an extension with them?

LBJ gets a piece of that max contract too.

Warriors aren’t letting Draymond go. They’ll dump Wiggins, promote Moody or Kuminga and max Dray.

I don't know if they will max him or give him a 4 or 5 year deal.

If the Lakers move Nunn, then bringing Schroeder back at the vet min would be a solid move.

I wouldn’t hate Melo coming back, but not if it means Swider won’t get a shot.

Nobody else on the list is worth discussing.

Sorry, why would they be thinking of Moving Nunn again?
all the guys who shot above 36 % from 3 are gone, Ellington, Monk, Bradley, even Augustine. :banghead:
They retained Reaves and Stanley who both shot under 32%, Russ under 30% :o
Acquired Lonnie AND JAT who both shot under 32% last season,
Troy Brown career under 34% in 227 games.
Seems to me, the only player who can actually shoot from 3 is Nunn with a career 36% from 3.

They shouldn’t! Please understand, I’m not saying the should move him, but I’ve seen his name pop up in trade rumors.

I see his names in the trade rumors too, It would make sense of including him if they are getting 2 shooters back IMO. I can't see Rob not being aware of this current rosters shooting limitations.

Rob is like a mad scientist in the lab, lol. I never know what the dude is cooking. You're right about the shooting though. I hope they give Swider a chance. Also, I wouldn't mind keeping a roster spot warm for Melo to come back.

I yeah I really like Swider, I don't mind Melo but with Ham stressing the importance of playing defense that I doubt if Darvin would even play him with his age and lack of foot speed.
I'm still very confused on why Rob would sign Gabriel,Brown,JTA,Walker, Stanley Johnson, all those guys are like 6'4 to 6'6, can defend and but can't shoot and space the floor, I mean how many young athletic non shooting guys do your really need? :-?

On the Lakers exceptionalism podcast they were speculating that the Lakers unwillingness to offer anyone more than a one year deal is why the ended up with Lonnie Walker.

If that’s true and that’s the reason they missed on a guy like Otto Porter then… ugh.

Schroeder would be a good option, I think he's holding out for a starting job.

If Lakers trade for Turner and Hield then Schroeder makes the most sense.

Schroeder, Hield, LeBron, Davis, Turner
Nunn, Reaves, THT, JTA, Bryant
Lonnie, Christie, Brown, Gabriel, Jones

Schroeder said no to $80M, doesn’t understand how to play team defense, can’t shoot nor distribute. I’d rather have Bledsoe.

Paschal was someone I wanted Lakers to look at. Has been improving his 3pt shooting. I also would like them to look at Frank Jackson. Like what he’s shown last two years.

Their guaranteed contracts are:

LeBron
Davis
Westbrook
THT
Nunn
Reaves
Stanley
Walker
Damian Jones
JTA
Brown Jr
Bryant
Max Christie
Wenyen Gabriel (not guaranteed)

That's 14 spots, which means we have 1 open roster spot and an ability to have 2 roster spots by waiving Gabriel.

By the way, Marc Stein talked last week about the Lakers willing to take back long-term money to take on Randle from the Knicks, should the Knicks acquire Mitchell.

I could absolutely see this. Jeanie Buss has talked openly about drafting young players, letting them go and not getting to reap the benefits of the work. We scouted him, drafted him, went through his injuries with, Kobe endorsed him, and there was controversy after Rob and Magic renounced him (stupidly) that Jeanie was still commenting on his wife's Instagram and it drew criticism to her.

I could see us getting involved in a Mitchell trade. Maybe getting Randle, Reddish and Mike Conley.

So how does a deal between the Lakers and Warriors look?
Dray and Klay for AD?

Lakers could potentially sign him as a free agent next July without giving the Warriors anything.
