Give up drinking.
Then, ask myself what it said about me that I was in the same bar as those two raptors...

There will be protesters at the game tonight reacting to PJax's recognization of the Immigration Bill in Arizona and the Suns Players wearing Los Suns jerseys. All PJax said was that the law has always been there, but that Arizona is putting teeth to it, that's it. So all the activists want to protest the game tonight and want the Lakers to wear Los Lakers Jerseys. While we're at it why don't we change The Staples Center to Los Staples Center.

This is so flipping irritating. Politics aside do not FU*K with our team in the playoffs. The Mexican Americans are a huge Laker fan base that's why they have Latin Nights, that's great, but I'm superstitious enough, do not mess with our team in the playoffs PLEASE!

I remember two years ago when we had a big matchup with the hated C's and it was nut huggers throwback night and the players spent a half in banana hammocks all they were doing was pulling down their shorts to make them appear longer then they were, the NBA messed with our team in a huge game and we lost. Couldn't we do throwback night when the Clippers were in town?

word, Sofa. Good.

I just finished my first big festival and opened up for a band that was made up of the Jerry Garcia band and Dave Matthews band. Sweet. I like those big stages and rad sound engineers behind the board. I got to use the same setup and soundman Prince uses. Makes it so easy to relax and have fun when the engineers get you monitored right and sounding sweet out of the big boys.

75% of D Sterns fines are weak garbage 100 K for tampering because Cuban for showing interest in LBJ while he's in FA. Keer said he'd sign him for the midlevel joking because the Suns are tapped. C'mon tampering or not they remind me of Association CCR's.

My community sent out a letter a few months ago sayingthe straps on the chaise lounges in the associations pool are getting discolored and would be a fine of $25 if towells weren't being used on the chaise lounges in the pool area. $50 fine for a hose that is hooked up to a spiket, regardless if it's discreet or folded properly. $50 for plants that are grown out more than a month. $250 for a lost pool key.

The only thing missing is D Stern ballooning the payment. Phil Jackson 1 million for lost press pass, Phil Jackson for fooling the media with reverse physchology techniques 50,000. New NYN Russian owner for saying Nyet instead of No 10,000.

Hey guys, I got my RealGM start on the Laker board, but have spent most of the last 5 years on the fantasyball board...

When I'm not procrastinating doing my work by posting on RealGM, I'm a researcher at a university. I'm doing research on why people participate in online basketball forums like this, whether they think the NBA is listening, and how they might hope to at least add their own voice to what the lakers do...I could really use your help. If you have a few minutes, I'd like to do a quick interview.

My contact info is: bgsmithphd at gmail dot com.

Send me an email and let me know. Thanks

go ahead and post specific questions out in the public, hopefully a few answer. i dont' think people will make the effort to email you. about your make your voice heard by the lakers, thats not even something that has ever crossed my mind. i post cause i like to talk nba with nba knowledgeable people, i also like to hear from other fan bases. its why i don't really care for team specific forums.

A friend and I were having a debate on Facebook about who truly is the Michael Jordan of this generation, and I favored Kobe Bryant over Lebron. Here's what I said:

You want stats? Fine. Here are the stats.

**

MJ's Career Stats: 30.1 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 5.3 APG, 2.3 SPG, 49.7% FG, 83.5% FT.

Total Points: 32,292 - Third all time behind Karl Malone and Kareem.

NBA Finals Appearances: 6
NBA Championships: 6
NBA Finals Record: 24-11

Awards: 5 League MVPs, 6 NBA Finals MVPs, 14 ASG Selections [3 ASG MVPs], 1985 Rookie of The Year, 1988 Defensive Player of The Year, 10-Time Scoring Champion, 10-Time All-NBA First Team Selections, 9-Time All-Defensive First Team Selections, 2-Time Slam Dunk Champion [87/88].

Best Statistical Season(s)
- 88-89 - 32.5 PPG, 8.0 APG, 8.0 RPG, 2.9 SPG, 53.8% FG
- 86-87 - 37.1 PPG, 4.6 APG, 5.2 RPG, 2.9 SPG, 48.2% FG
- 87-88 - 35.0 PPG, 5.9 APG, 5.5 RPG, 3.2 SPG, 53.5% FG
- Note: He won the ASG/League MVP and DPOY this year.

Game-Winning Shots: 28

**

Kobe's Career Stats: 25.3 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.5 SPG, 45.5% FG, 83.8% FT.

Total Points: 25,790 [and counting, mind you]

NBA Finals Appearances: 6
NBA Championships: 4
NBA Finals Record: 16-12

Awards: 1 League MVP, 1 Finals MVP, 12 ASG Selections [3 ASG MVPs], 8 All-NBA First Team Selections, 2 All-NBA Second Team Selections, 8 All-NBA Defensive First Team Selections, 2 All-NBA Second Team Selections, 2-Time NBA Scoring Champion, 1-Time Slam Dunk Champion [1997].

Best Statistical Season(s)
- 02-03 - 30.0 PPG, 5.9 APG, 6.9 RPG, 2.2 SPG, 45% FG
- 05-06 - 35.4 PPG, 4.5 APG, 5.3 RPG, 1.8 SPG, 45% FG
- 06-07 - 31.6 PPG, 5.4 APG, 5.7 RPG, 1.4 SPG, 46% FG

Game-Winning Shots: 27

**

Lebron's Career Stats: 27.8 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 7.0 AST, 1.7 SPG, 47.5% FG, 74.2% FT.

Total Points: 15,251 [and counting]

NBA Finals Appearances: 1
NBA Championships: 0
NBA Finals Record: 0-4

Awards: 03-04 Rookie of The Year, 6 ASG Selections [2 ASG MVPs], 4 All-NBA First Team Selections, 2 All-NBA Second Team Selections, 2 All-NBA Defensive Team Selections, 1-Time NBA Scoring Champion.

Best Statistical Seasons(s)
- 09-10 - 29.7 PPG, 8.6 APG, 7.3 RPG, 1.6 SPG, 50.3% FG
- 07-08 - 30.0 PPG, 7.2 APG, 7.9 RPG, 1.8 SPG, 48.4% FG
- 05-06 - 31.4 PPG, 6.1 APG, 7.0 RPG, 1.6 SPG, 48.0% FG

Game-Winning Shots: 12

**

Admittedly, Lebron has an edge in the Rebounds and Assists department, due to his multi-faceted role in the offense run out there in Cleveland. That said, SUCCESS balances out ALL stats. Even Michael himself will tell you that. KOBE is the Michael of this generation. Lebron doesn't even play the same position as Kobe and Michael.

From the lips of Lebron himself:

Video 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7p001BvjEA

Video 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fv37ykpYk84

Video 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJMsoIQnLJs

- You can't be the MICHAEL of this generation if there's someone better than you. Dominique Wilkins was a ferocious monster but never won anything significant. As a result, MJ was ALWAYS better than he was.

Kobe Bryant is the Michael Jordan of this generation. Lebron's got a LONG way to go before he comes close, and if anything, he'll dominate the NEXT generation, not this one. Case closed.

Convincing enough?
