He's not literally talking to them. He's most likely venting and cussing them out.

Jeez, Dwight is sure getting a lot of hate. Bynum was much worse than Dwight but unfortunately Dwight will be under a microscope until he wins a ring. It's sad really.

Just resign him and give him another shot. I still have faith in him. If he's still not happy I'm sure we can get some real nice pieces for him.

If we resigned D12 to a max and he wanted out after next season, would Houston give us Parsons + Asik + 2-3 First Rounders for Dwight?

I hope he resigns, this season has been a disappointment throughout but Dwight has shown when he is healthy, he is an absolute game changer on the defensive end.

The guy that disappointed me the most is Steve Nash. Seems more and more like a product of a flawed system to me now that I watched him a lot more than before. He must have a P&R big man and a group of shooters to be successful, and our team just isn't built that way.

I hope we can resign him, he should come back at 100% and be superman again but like most people I don't really mind, there are things about him we would miss but then if we could replace him with a center that could shoot free throws I would be happy....

I wouldn't read too much into his words. He had similar words when he was in Orlando. Just wait it out and we'll see what happens

Holy sh....more entertaining drama. I think most fans are over it though. Optimistic for next year and kobes return. With all these high priced old laker guys its hard to say how much this team could get better. Lakers need youth.

D12 is NOT a winner... That being said, he bangs and lead the league in rebounds... Tough season... The bigger quest is, "Who is our coach and what is our identitiy"... Once that decision is made, get the roster...

Anybody else remember what happened to Dwight when we played him in the finals?
He got tossed then as well, didn't he?

Dwight isn't the ideal face of the franchise at this point but the only thing that may make him less than a max player is if his injury is worse than we know. I don't think there are any surprises there though. I think we'll offer him the full max. I think the only question is, what other demands he has...

But I think we still need to be looking for the next Magic or Kobe coming up to compliment him.

Shaq, Kenny, Charles and co. from TNT sent the Lakers fishing last night.....

Dwight, cleverly, was dressed up, in the corner of the boat, as the Tin Man from the Wizard Of Ozz.......

"If he only had a heart?"

I think they got it right?

I'd keep Dwight if we can no one else better for us at the moment. Everyone else is for sale.

Fwiw, he said those same things to us last year, and the summer before requesting a trade.

As a magic fan, I have obviously seen Dwight grown from a teenager to a man (if that's what you want to call him). I have paid attention to lakers games this year, and he has not improved one bit from the time he got in the league. Actually he has regressed in that he is not as athletic as he once was and his free throw shooting is awful, compared to the respectable 68% he shot his rookie year. IMO you guys need what Dwight brings to the defensive end, but his other baggage is too high of a price to pay for that. Whoever said chandler/varejao was spot on.

That's just my 2 cents.

Oh and it does look like he is talking to Mitch, but I can't figure out what he said..

He was definitely a disappointment but that doesn't have anything to do with his past. Nash is just old. He can't get to the hoop much anymore and his jumper is way slower. Back in the day he could pull up anytime and just drain it. Think Stephen Curry.

But you're right at this stage he needs someone to pass too. He just can't break down the defense and run around guys like he used to to create space. Plus the injuries seem to hamper him. The one thing he could really do was get a screen and shoot a jumper because the Lakers have no roll guy or pop guy and they don't have catch and shoot players. He still shot the ball very well this year. He was the best shooter on the team in terms of %. Nash always played with Kobe too and Kobe was unable to play the catch and shoot wing to space the floor. So he played with Gasol, Howard, and Kobe all bringing conjestion. There were many factors with Nash's lack of success this year really.

He actually played without a good roll man the year Amare was injured in 2007 I believe? He had to shoot much more and they did pick and pop and some rolling but mostly Nash just creating. He could run around and just get guys shots anytime back then. He got 18/10 and won mvp. I think he's gone down a little bit each year since then but its hard to notice until you realize now he's quite a bit slower in terms of foot speed and off the ground. But he keeps himself in really good shape so that helps mask it.

But I don't like it when players try to take down a player's past because he gets old and is put in a new situation where he is the one that tries to adapt. Yes, he's a pick and roll guard. Yes, he needs a guy to pass to and NBA players that can shoot. Basically any team except the Lakers would probably work fine.

I was watching the Warriors/Nuggets game and was thinking, "If the Lakers had a healthy Bogut instead of Dwight they would have been a much better team this year.". Bogut just has better fundamentals, knows his role, has a good attitude, and still guards the basket and gets rebounds. And he can run a pick and roll if needed. The rebounding/defense from Dwight when he's trying is really important like you said. But he brings so many flaws/problems...it was just a huge reason for the problems this year.

Bogut is another one, but he can't stay on the court and is also a free throw liability

For the love of God can people stop mentioning Asik, Parsons, Bogut and all these other unathletic scrub players ?

These guys are a byproduct of playing in a balanced system, playing with a Kobe Bryant most likely leads to not being as productive as they are now with their teams.

You guys get too choked into the moment of defeat and don't think with a clear conscience. You start thinking these players I'm seeing mentioned on the board will just suddenly propel us to championship level. They're all ROLE players, yeah they could help if playing off the bench. But if these guys are starters what does that tell you about those teams ?

And truth be told some of those teams weren't that much better than us even when they were the ones that didn't suffer all the injuries we did.
