LOL This chick, who I have already spoke with on the phone the day she backed into my car, turned off her phone service.

Would a card with her name and number been enough? I was at work while it happened.

I doubt it. Did she write on it? Like "Hi Im so and so and I hit your car" sort of thing? Unless she specifically said she hit your car and she wants you to call her then why would she disconnect her number. Sometimes people that hit your car may place their cards on the car so then they don't look like they fled the scene of an accident, but then later they can claim it wasn't her. But to counter that I would probably see if there are surveillance cameras in the area and see if you can find a footage somewhere or maybe somebody saw it since "Unbiased witness" is your best chance. Contact your insurance company and report it and they can pursue her. Obviously your going to have to pay a deductible and then your insurance can go after her and once they do catch her then she is also liable to pay back your deductible as well as your damages.

One more thing. The card?? Is it a business card with her work info?

Yeah, it said sorry hit your car, call for some arrangements. I have her license number though. I called my insurance and just waiting to hear what they say. Not sounding good from what I gather. The card was some random business card she had. Didn't match the name she gave me.

Did she give you her full name? Did you take any pics of the damage? And how did you come up with her plate?
Btw, You still got my info? Shop etc. I got a couple of bodyshops I can talk to.

Man I had an issue like this when an idiot rear ended me in a rental car in Atlanta. He convinced me and my friend that he'd have his insurance take care of it and not report it to the cops. When car rental eventually called him he denied it but luckily I had purchased rental insurance. My insurance quote still runs high because of that claim.

Wait!! So you must have not bought insurance from the rental car company?? If you did then it wouldn't have went on your record. That's sucks. I always buy insurance when I rent anything since if you do get in an accident your fault or not it will never go on your record.

I always thought the insurance companies can check all the previous claims you made no matter the provider when you get a quote from them. Also there was some crap about me renting an SUV while being under 25 at that time.

Yeah, I have a pic of the card and damage on my phone. I didn't get her plates, it was actually her DL id.

NOT AT ALL mang. If you purchased additional insurance from the rental car company then it stays with the company doesn't fall on your driving record. That's the good thing about buying insurance through them. And if it has gone on your record then you can dispute it and I guarantee you will have it removed.

It was some random business card that she wrote her name and number on. Called the number that same Wed night and she answered and gave me her driver license A39406t2blahblah number and the name of her insurance. Didn't hear from her on Thursday. Called her today and it was disconnected. Called my insurance company and waiting to hear back from them now.
