Boards, D, and toughness.

I like Gasol, but he doesn't bring what Dwight brought.

They're completely different players. Gasol, at his age his far superior in so many aspects of the game. High IQ player, can stretchbb the floor, can make free throws, very good defending the post, very good help defender. Dwight is obviously the better rebounder, lob threat, and shot blocker. Overall i think he'd be a net gain for our team.

I don't think ibaka is coming but yes farewell to Dwight.

His redemption blip with us netted him a championship that he was a big contributor towards and eventually deserved.

And I'm happy for that (also for his consummated narrative with the lakers (and with kobe)).

What’s weird about it? Everyone wants to know why Dwight tweeted he’s coming back to the Lakers, deleted it, and then went to the Sixers.

The side of the story tho. Who’s PR put this out and so quickly. Makes the front office look like we just left him hanging because we got our own FO idea shot down by ownership and lost him? Or made Dwight look oddly left out of the loop and impatient.

This is all just the most Dwight thing ever though... He's a weird dude...

It's sad to see the narrative end so abruptly, but at the same time, I think we got more from Dwight than we ever deserved to expect.

We will miss his defense and illegal screens and pushes in the back and pulling of jerseys. Besides that, DH isn’t the brightest dude and I’m okay with him not being here, but we’d better have a rock solid replacement like Ibaka or a renewed DMC, or maybe Kostas will be ready to log hard minutes.

I still think we’re trading McGee.

We responded by signing Harrell so I'm ok with Dwight leaving. I still feel Cousins will end up with us again. Now go and get Marc Gasol.

Assuming that he’d keep his new found focus and low profile; I did, too. But then he had to open his mouth.

We’re gonna miss his defense, screens and boxing out and rebounds and more.

It seems like Dwight wanted back with us and thought we were in, and once we signed Harrel, it left Dwight with no role.

As much as I want to bash Dwight, I think we kinda forced his hand here.

Oh well, I think we got the one focused season he will ever have, so I'm ok with it. But I don't think it's fair to blame Dwight just this time.

Well, I did say that if Dwight came back to the Lakers and won a championship that I would forgive him. So Dwight, you are forgiven. Thanks for the memories and that trophy! Good luck in Philly!

Was really looking forward to Dwight coming back. He was so happy holding that trophy at the end. That Harrell signing probably sealed the deal for Dwight out of LA it seems. If the lakers don't get Harrell, I think it was more likely they sign Dwight. Since Harrell can't shoot 3s though, they probably need someone like Morris to fill that gap. I wonder if the Lakers even offered Dwight a contract.

The move to Philly doesn't make sense though. Embiid and Horford were a bad combo and Horford could shoot. Dwight's playing time and role with Philly seems very limited with Embiid on the floor
