Who do you want starting?

Are we talking about real life or could I dream?

Because ideally, this would be my starting lineup:

Nunn
Reeves
Lebron
AD
Jones

but realistically, Russ won't be coming off the bench, and it's in our best interest that he doesn't for asset management and chemistry reasons, more so than bball reasons.

So:

RW
Reeves
Lebron
AD
Jones

But with tight rotations. I'm taking about Nunn and Bev coming in at the 6th minute mark in the first at the latest.

Russ could have the starter status, but realistically any half decent coach would minimize the time LBJ and RW are on the floor together.

Edit: I should add that I won't be upset about any starting lineup with Bev in it. I just think his effort/play is consistent enough to have the same value off the bench.

I'm tripping out on the fact we have LeBron, AD and Westbrook, leading into a season.... And there's absolutely ZERO hype surrounding this team.
That alone is a giant failure...

One is an all time great and the other two are a product of media hype and stat grabbing.

In reality Davis has accomplished the least on his own but has always been considered a top 5 player. I've never understood it. He's never come close to being the player the hype suggested.

IMHO, Lonnie and JTA should at least be in the rotation. JTA just makes plays and is a good defender. I'm looking for Lonnie to have a break out year.

Despite the recent comments from Ham I still think we end up starting AD at the 4. My combination of what I want vs. what is realistic is:

Nunn - Beverley - Schroeder
Russ - Walker
LeBron - Reaves
AD - JTA
Bryant - Jones

I was questioning the Lonnie signing and how he fit, but that first quarter of the minnesota game looked good with him and Beverly in the starting lineup. With Beverly and AD, maybe they can cover him on defense. Definitely liked how he was able to push the ball and score in this lineup. Just a preseason game, but looked good.

It'll change from game to game, but I like Beverly/Lonnie and AD at center over Jones in the starting lineup.

For God's sake don't start AD at the 5 or else he'll mope and make the likes of Naz Reid look like Kareem Abdul Jabbar. I don't even care if its Gabriel, if not Bryant until Jones picks himself up.

I think wear and tear at the 5 is overrated now. Who is AD really banging against at the 5 on the regular. And you want Lebron guarding PFs now anyhow. I'd worry more about Lebron chasing down smaller/quicker wings than AD at the 5.

With Russ probably coming off the bench now, I want Nunn/Reaves/LeBron/AD/Bryant to start. We probably get Bev instead of Nunn, though, and may not start a center at all.

Spot on.

That's my favorite starting line-up for this group.

Reeves, Walker, Bryant, JTA, Dennis, Brown, Russ off the bench.

I hope Russ has a very minor role, if at all. His mistakes and mental lapses are a huge drawback for this team. And his disposition is draining for a team trying to win. I've really wanted for him to succeed but I just don't see it, not with this team.

Select 3 starters to add to LeBron and Davis.
