So right off the bat.......

We're a minute into this thing, and already the BS meter is beeping. Buddy....the Chicago combine was May 12th-16th. But then June 10th is when Hurley decided to stay with UConn. Just how "thrilled" and "inspired" with the conversations were you?

JJ sounds fine. Hope he works out. My issue is with the FO, and the pass they're getting here over all of this. They have no clue what they're doing. They weren't "inspired" or "touched". Bullsh**

Hurley turned you down, and so you went with a guy that has zero experience. You can "gift wrap" this all you like......It's a bag of potatoes. I think Reddick has made a mistake. The Lakers can toss his ass in 2 years (the fans will cheer!) and goober their way through another hiring. Maybe hire one of the floor security next time.....that's a new twist. JJ will be the one with his name/rep run through the mud, and be tossed. Prob won't get another shot at head coach for 10-15 years after that. It'll be assistant for a while. Awful big risk....and after how the whole hiring thing went??? I woulda been like "these guys have no effin clue what they're doing". Frankly.....this crap RIGHT HERE...is exactly what Hurley sniffed, and went.....nah. I don't think we got played. I think Hurley saw a room full of losers, and incompetence, and cheap grins.

Prob why we keep going for less and less experienced coaches these days. Harken back to Vogel's intro being all about Magic tearing into Rob. That was fun.....watching our FO dysfunction aired for the world. Any lesson learned?? Of course not.

Crazy how quick it went too. You would have to have some absolutely horrible personality management skills to lose a team that quickly. Especially after the success and the good job I thought Darvin did the previous year.

Have doubt about Rondo as a coach. He has legal issues and has been too abrasive at times. Not sure if that’s what you want.

The Rob part of the conference I thought was potentially pretty telling along with some JJ comments:
1. draft, we'll know soon but sounds like we are keeping the pick and focused on developing a longer term approach to personnel.
2. AD/draft- JJ said make him a hub like many other 5's in the league. Could be a cloak for drafting Edey or could be JJ still sees AD as a 5.
3. Lebron- sounds like he's going to opt out and/or they aren't planning on accommodating his wishes
4. I thought it was interesting Rob stated we'd be a 1st apron team... that can only mean they won't keep Dlo, otherwise we are 2nd apron. that jives with the cheapness we are seeing in ownership too

I don’t know if it’s about cheapness or if it’s about Dlo’s limitation on how far his skill set and defensive deficiencies can carry us.

Honestly like Dlo’s O but still too immature and not a true leader and lacking defensive intensity to get into 2nd apron for him.

I was a fan of JJ for our HC position, but after watching the press conference, I have my doubts. I hope he proves all doubters wrong.

Not sure how he sold himself during the interview process.

so... you were planning for an immediate allstar with pick 55?

I don't disagree with Bron and AD, but JJ supposedly is a puppet coach for Coach K, which might be kinda awesome, Bronny is a project with a Fisher ceiling or will flame out, but either way people above us wanted him for basketball reasons, so I'm fine with that.

It's absolutely bizarre that there are people on here who think this is a good hiring. It's also funny how people will bend over backwards to not acknowledge the actual problem. It's not the roster. It's LBJ. He's simply not good enough anymore to be the first or even second best player on a championship caliber team. It's that simple. He's probably outside of the top 20 players in the league at this point (and AD is one of those who is better than him). Replace LBJ with any one of those guys (there are frankly well over 20 guys who would better help this team than LBJ) and this team would be much, much better. Through his commentary, Redick has shown to not be very knowledgable about basketball and has zero coaching experience. Hiring Redick and then drafting Bronny makes us a laughing stock. We're a major dumpster fire right now and one of the worst franchises in the league. Jeanie needs to sell the team and we need to find a way to get LBJ off of the roster.

We got an immediate scoring wing in Knecht. Then We added an athletic guard that can be a future 3&D.

Plus, Bronny on the team means LeBron will be extra focused and that’s never a bad thing.

Not sure what worries you.
