Individual games don't mean anything. Besides our best player was out.

you mean Clippers beat this bad team by 59 and the Lakers needed AR to score 38 to win by 1 point?

Exactly.

Jody Smokz wrote:Yes I am. Austin is playing well but he's overachieving. If he's the best guard on the team and our 2nd best guard is a toss up between Gabe Vincent and Max Christie then this team does not have a chance in the playoffs.

He's never been that good of a player for them to basically guarantee him that spot. Now he's the lead guard on the team? This is not a serious basketball team in terms of competing deep in the playoffs. Enjoy what is left of this era.

Are you watching these games and his stat lines? 14 assists last game and 38 points tonight. Our front court just aint doing it, AD needs many games off for injury predictably, and a Christie/Reeves backcourt is odd. Max needs to still improve greatly, those he's flashed and Knecht is doing a disappearing act when he doesn't start.

Oh I mean, I totally agree about the other guards. The year we traded for Dlo and Vando and made a push was the kind of depth change we need. Max is really young still so this year was a good building block if we keep him. bailing on Knecht seems unwise to build something around a 40 year old and glass man, and I think that's really it... what besides picks do we have to achieve more this year without sacrificing the inevitable youth/rebuild we will be looking at? Please ditch Vincent back to the Heat or whatever can happen with that dude, but yeah I don't think we are going to get better this outside of miracle max or Dalton turning something on. we are probably a legit 6th place team with some old guy punchers change to do damage in the playoffs but not against Denver or the better teams.

Let's be fair....this team is built around Lebron and AD. Any win....be it at home or away, against ANY team, without either AD or Lebron is a good win. Good on Reeves for stepping up.

And screw DLo with his 19 points and 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Really hate it when that player comes to have his "revenge" game. If you'd put half the effort with us, you prob wouldn't have been traded d_ck head.

I agree that we need both (AD&Lebron) every game. If one is missing, it's going to be hard against any team in the league.

Orlando, Clippers, Miami etc would miss their top 2-3 players and would still compete hard because their commitment to defense is so much higher. Something about how other teams stick closer to shooters and you hardly see them allow consecutive layups and easy shots unlike this team.

You know who your talking to, right? You don't need to convince me that this team needs to go =0)

And those picks! Those picks we will rue trading away. 3 of them! And an expiring contract that we coulda actually got some value for! This FO needs to get the hell outa here. Jeanie.....sell this team, or at least step away, and give the keys to someone who understands basketball. My god....

And people wanna trade off our first round picks for more rubbish like this!

eh...whatever.....I'm over being frustrated and pissed about this. Nothing I can do. On to other things

I remember this one guy on the GB trying to convince me that the Lakers got better with DFS by trading Russel. What an idiot.
Lakers got even worse with this trade. With Russel we at least had someone that could get hot. What did DFS bring to the table so far ?

I think the league told us what Russell was worth... expiring or not!

Luckiest man alive... he's stolen over a hundred million.

I've watched parts of 3 games on TV this year and one here in Phoenix live. The NBA is nearly unwatchable these days. The chucking, the lack of basic fundamentals and the lack of any sort of structured offense. It's like the first half of an All Star game all the time.

Ratings are tanking so I'm not alone is this thought.

Ownership is hell bent on squeezing every last drop of of this duo... the aftermath will be carnage for a decade.

I love beating the Celtics. Max did a nice job on Brown defensively. DFS guarding PoTatum is a good look. Crushing win. We stomped on the ugly green.

Not worried about DFS. Most of what he brings shows very little in the stats sheet. Team wins before and after trade is a good stat for a guy like that. Watch his hustle defense.

I’m thrilled that our defensive leak in D Lo is gone. Now we at least have a shot. With D Lo’s defense we didn’t. And that’s fact. We tried it. Got railroaded every year. Teams that eliminated us attacked our weakness. His D. He got benched. Can’t shoot threes from the bench. It was insanity to keep him as long as we did. I was pissed when he came back because you can’t win a series in the NBA playing 4 on 5 defense.

Maybe Jeannie thought he was cute. Good riddance. Let Rob decide things from now on, not Linda Rambis.

Max stays. Knecht stays. Reaves stays. Bron stays. AD stays. Not a doctor but Vando stays if health is possible.

If you ask me, Gabe, Wood, Reddish, Hayes, Koloko, Rui, Milton are our only trade pieces.

I’d keep our picks simply because Rob is so ridiculously good at drafting. We should be very reluctant to trade our picks unless it makes us an instant contender.

His footwork a little slower, but that's to be expected, If he comes back to even like 70% Vando look out :) defense wins chips.
