Well here in LA I can find it damn near everywhere. All the major stores and even Walmart. But Try Trader Joe's, that's where I first discovered it before the major markets picked up on it.

A laptop is an inanimate inorganic based object. it's not alive.

My references are specifically for things that are alive.
Plants, Animals, Fungi and everything that can't be categorized is thrown into protist. Since there is nothing we consume that is a protist we are good.

Now for what defines an animal.
Not all of these apply to every single animal, but most of them do.
1) Most animals are multi cellular organisms.
2) Animals use heteretrophic metabolism meaning that they have to take in organic matter from their environment. (Essentially other organisms) There are very few exceptions to this.
3) Animals have the ability to digest digest food (specifically through internal processes compared to thinks like fungi or nitrogen deprived plants.
4) Animals have the ability to move. The only exeption that i can think to this is a sponge and other late stage animals that lose mobility.

Therefore a fish is an animal.
