Yeah, Magic really screwed up with the roster construction. I have no idea why he would think surrounding LeBron with dudes who can't shoot was a good idea. We all know how well he does with shooters.

Wait, people are just now catching on that Lebron doesn't play defense? He hasn't played defense in three years.
We should sit him for the rest of the season to salvage his trade value. Whatever that is...what team out there would want him, with his enormous contract, advanced age and mileage, and toxic baggage?

I remember I got obliterated by certain people here when I said signing this guy was a mistake. And now....look where we at. I truly believe we needed to tank one more season to get a solid draft pick and then sign the big name free agents. Not this guy claiming he’s the chosen 1.
Now this guy is saying if others can’t play with the Lakers they should leave?? Dude you havent even been with the Lakers a full season, dude needs to stfu and play better ball. Getting sick and tired of his mouth...

The Lakers really really need kwahi to go to the Clippers this summer so teams can start to believe that if you trade for a rental player you run the risk of him leaving. That might put doubt in Boston's mind about trading the farm for Anthony Davis.

Trade his ass to the Knicks and get their 1st round pick for him.

I’m sure at least three quarters of the teams in the league would trade for him in a heartbeat. Let’s not needlessly exaggerate.

I'd be pretty confident if I'm the Celtics. How excited do you think Anthony Davis is about playing with Lebron, now?

Celtics need to worry about Kyrie, he's the key to everything. If he leaves Boston knows there no way in hell AD stays if they decided to trade the farm for him.

I'd say KD and Kyrie in NY makes a whole lot of sense. They seem to have similar personalities and interests in living int he NY area.
Lakers' best target is Kawhi and Butler in free agency 2019 or AD in 2020. Could trade for AD beforehand.

I highly doubt it. First of all, Lebron would only play for a handful of teams. No team is naive enough to think that Lebron would just suit up and sell tickets. No, he would DNP-Load Management it until he's get moved. So then, among the very few teams viably interested, how many would want to break up their roster, alienate their remaining good players, and give up on defense? He certainly did little to help his cause by looking old and injury prone and a team cancer this season.
Here's my list:
Clippers: Steve Ballmer is dying to outshine the Lakers, we get assets and trade exception. I kind of like this, because Lebron is the perfect trojan horse to set back the Clippers 5 years. And maybe we can get Zubac back. I like this even more.
Knicks: I do think Dolan is a sucker, so I see NY being a viable location if they can land AD.
Raptors: Kawhi would definitely come to the Lakers if Lebron wasn't on it. Kill two birds with one stone! I'm not sure how Toronto feels about getting even older though.
Rockets: The Rockets are capped out badly and Morey has been dying to get a third star. But we'd have to get another team to absorb Eric Gordon and Clint Cappella.
Celtics: Yeah right, Ainge would have traded away Lebron already.
Who did I miss?

Re: The LeBron Thread (merged)
It's obvious that Bron is still hurt in some way. He's not moving well at all. That said, our current malaise has little to do with his play on the court. The enabling in what happened at the deadline is squarely on the front office. It's time to recognize that Jeannie is the enabler of the past 5-6 years in fact. She let the Jimmy/Mitch run last too long and has given the keys to Magic and Co. By not making that trade (which I wouldn't have done) the chemistry of the team is damaged. My guess is that they will work it out over time.
After we didn't get PG we've been in clear damage control mode.... first trying to get Leonard for anyone and everyone.... then doubling down for Davis. This didn't start here either.... we've been swinging and missing with established players since LA and Melo (thank god on Melo). At some point the lack of ability to attract players has to fall on the FO. Instability and ultimatums create uncertainty and uncertainty for a player looking for a title is poison. This is deeper than Bron.

Yeah he’s not a problem. Who needs defense to win games? Who needs team chemistry? Who needs a leader? Who needs accountability? Who needs somebody who isn’t a hypocrite who’s throwing his teammates under the bus on a daily basis? Who needs a basketball player who plays hard?
When did things get so toxic here? When did things get so infected with this virus? I can think of one big difference from last year. Because our record sure hasn’t changed. But something did. This guy is a disgrace to the purple and gold. I thought Dwight Howard was bad. Man, I miss players with heart.
We got nothing we paid for. I want a refund. What a rip off.

He has some with bullocks/kcp and hart to an extent.
Problem is lbj thrives when his Bigs also stretch the floor (love,Frye).
I doubt he came to la expecting results the first season with that roster makeup what he is doing right now is weeding out the losers.
I’ve seen Kobe say much worse about teammates and isn’t half the leader bron is. Defense is overrated anyways you expect 100% there from role players not your engine that’s you need all game.
Imo Kuzma is the guy he’s grown tired of. Ingram that kid half this board wanted traded early in the season is a pure scorer and can get his next to bron but all that chucking Kuzma does is a issue

The Lakers do, because their current one is terrible at rotations.

I would do any trade just for nothing but capspace or a trade exception. Because trading Lebron away is like trading for Kawhi Leonard.
As Boston fan, we are not high on Lebron and please don't destroy the chemistry,
See what happen to Miami
see what happen in Cleveland
and foresee what happen to Lakers...
What happened in Miami and Cleveland is that they went to 8 straight finals, won 3 titles and beat Boston in the playoffs in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Re: The LeBron Thread (merged)
Now everybody coming at Lebron about his lack of defense. Knives out.
We should have moved him before the narrative caught up to the facts. A month ago, some were still calling him the greatest player of all time defying age. Now? Universally regarded as too old, distracted, lazy, doesn't play defense, bad leader, hypocritical, a cancer. The narrative caught up - and now it may be too late.
This gives me no joy, I'd rather be proven wrong about him. This is really bad for the Lakers on so many levels.
