NOP are playing well. Adding Zion to that makes them a handful in the playoffs.

I want to see either them or Memphis make it.

Hard no to Portland or San Antonio. **** hate these treadmill, over the hump teams who have nothing left but refuse to die.
Just let it go and rebuild already, it's a young man's world.

Powell from Dallas tore his achilles. Wow. I really like how he plays in that system with Doncic. Theyll miss him.

I detest Alvin Gentry. Every time they show him it reminds me of the dickish behavior he showed during and after the trade. Clown. Plz fail forever. Still love you Lonzo. That jumper looking so much better. He’s playing with so much confidence. Happy for him but it hurts to see him on some other team. He was meant to be our guy.

He's looked this good give or take both years under Luke at this time. It is near the all star game where he gets hurt every year and never heals

He's the only player on that roster who can roll with some menace. Otherwise every play is going to be a pick and pop now. It's funny how Dirk left and that Dallas offfense still works like he's the main option.

Anyone have any frank/honest opinions about zion ? Our laker forum is a bit quiet on this while the internet and general forum is having a jerk session over his first game.

I mean he got fed over and over again so he could look good in his first game, he got hot on his 3 pointers and missed a layup due to his lack of lift (but quickly luckily caught the ball again to recover which was just luck) and the guy doesnt look to have any lift and just looks plain tubby and fat...
physically, he looks like the typical gym rat at my place where they all look big and swole in their shoulders and chest but in the locker room they lift their shirt up all you see is amorphous mass and a dirty bellybutton. ...unlike me which i blow everyone away w a lower v-chiseled midsection 8-)

i dunno...he dont look anything special or "Generational" to me. Just looks like a good power forward that's all. what you think.

Personally... I think he's a little over-rated and is going to have trouble staying in shape and healthy...

If he stays healthy, I think he'll easily be a top 5 player in the league, but I'm not seeing the LeBron/MJ kind of comparisons right now. I think Doncic's closer to Lebron right now skill and impact wise, than Zion. But time will tell.

Ja, Zion, Doncic are all going to be amazing players. Tough to say who the best will be, but right now, Doncic seems like the safe bet.

I could still see Pelicans meandering around in the bottom of the west next year as well even w the whole team healthy. I dont see anything impactful by zion or brandon.

He's athletic but his advantage at this level will be much less than it was in College. It will be interesting to see if he and Ingram can coexist. For example midway through the 3rd Ingram has only 4 shots in 19 minutes. They both seem to need the ball a lot and overlap quite a bit. I think the outside shooting we saw isn't going to continue. I think he'll be good but he's got a ton to prove to be the "next" anyone.

Ja reminds me of Starbury a little. Doncic is the real deal offensively and he seems like he can grow into a team leader as well. He's the one to watch right now.

Call a spade a spade.

BI is forced to play sf with Zion used at the of spot. And Ingram isn’t as good offensively as a sf because his first step isn’t elite. He’s not a good defensive player either, people mistake long arms like Marion or Prince as playing good d, but he’s always been a negative player on that end in actuality. The fact is unless if they are running Zion at center, they are going to expose BI for being what he has always been, an non elite SF.

BI blew up this year playing stretch 4 and it propped his stats up. He’s not the first guy to experience the boost of being moved to pg because he was lanky and lacked the umph at the 3 to be there full time. It happened to Horry. It happened to Rashard Lewis. It happened to Odom. It happened to Kukoc. It happened to Shawn Marion when he was the Matrix.

If you have to pick between make BI comfortable or Zion though it’s Zion every time because Zion is box office and BI isn’t. Zion looks like he can bring winning and BI has never done that. Zion is a freak athlete, BI ain’t close.
