His reasoning is quite stupid as he points out that Simmons is an elite passer and scorer yet he says that to be a great player you have to be a beast in the post like Shaq or shoot 3s like Mohammed Abdul Rauf, otherwise you are a role player. I mean he's putting Shaq and Abdul Rauf in the same tier while dissing Simmons.

Let's just hope the pre-draft workouts go well and the Lakers will draft either of these two and not someone else because... you never know.

Ingram could be our next Kobe in a longer frame. I'm not saying exactly like Kobe btw. Simmons could be our next Magic if we compare the styles of these two.

So it's the next week that the workouts will take place, right? OKC better win Game 6 so Luke could come and assist. :D

Philly trade: #1 pick and Okafor
Lakers trade: #2 pick, Russell and removing all protections off the pick owed to the 76ers

Simmons is the most transcendent talent out of the bunch and Okafor could be the next great offensive big man. Philly gets perimeter help and clears out the log jam in the front court. Plus it could net them another lottery pick next year.

These Okafor trades are getting tiring. The Lakers passed on him and now you you want to trade D'angelo for him just to get the first pick??? Makes no sense. The Lakers are sitting pretty at #2.

Lol,the second pick and russel dont even get you Okafor never mind the first pick with it,fairly land.

Okafor is a moron, and plays horrible defense. I wouldn't trade the #2 for him straight up. We're much better off keeping our assets and adding a plus defender at the center position.

Don't trade for a C. Select a C with the 32nd pick OR sign a C in free agency.

As neither a fan of the Lakers or Philly I can honestly tell you your so far off on the value that I'm wondering if your being sarcastic. Okafor was drafted after Russell last season and has done nothing to prove his value over Russell at this point(on the court and off). Okafor for the third and 16th pick this year has been mostly agreed to be a fair deal in terms of value, I wouldn't be surprised if Phoenix traded for him with their two firsts either.

Pleaseeeeeee stop with the Okafor talk.

We passed on him last year. WHY WOULD WE WANT HIM NOW?

He plays an old mans game in the wrong generation. If this was 1999, then sign me up next to shaq. However, it's 2016. We just need a center who can rebound defend and block shots. We already should have plenty of scoring.

No to Okafor
No to trading the pick

It's Simmons or Brandon. Bottom line.

Anyone catch draft express new mock draft? Its my dream draft Ingram at 2 and Thon Maker at 32. I really don't see Thon falling to 32 tho.

eh, i kind of prefer if just mitch/ryan west/scouting team do their job without outside influence. who knows how luke is as a scout. he's the coach and should work with the players he's given.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Ingram is the better prospect. That length, scoring skills, defensive potential..

People pretend if Ben is the better all around player, but people forget all around in basketball means you adequate in all essential basketball skills. For example Iggy or Dray or Batum. Thats the real all around players to me. They have no real weaknesses. They can adequately shooting, passing, defense, slash etc.

But Simmons can't shoot. Ingram can shoot. Simmons is a playmaker, Ingram is not a playmaker.

Just because Simmons is a playmaker, doesn't mean he's the better all around player than Ingram.

About rebounding, Ingram is a 3/4, and Ben mainly plays as 4/5 in college, of course he will get more rebounds than Ingram.

Simmons can't shoot? Or he won't shoot? Because I think there's a very fine line between the two, and I think most have a hard time differentiating between the two.

If you don't shoot it is generally because you can't.......
