Celts are not picking Ball at 1. I prefer Fox at 2 rather than Ball. But I could talk myself into Ball if that is who mgmt likes.

Lonzo not working out for the Celtics is spectacularly ballsy and awesome. If the Lakers do indeed end up drafting this kid and he becomes more of a stud than Fultz, it'll add a layer of mystique to the rivalry that both fan bases will be talking about for years.
Numbers rule the universe.

I hate when anybody talks about Fox and sees him with the Lakers. The thought completely boggles my mind.

Fox has the least impressive shot chart out of all the top prospects. He's not the guy. We can't afford to have non shooters at the guard spot. I'd probably rather have DSJ than Fox.

Great article by Tania Ganguli, who is quickly becoming by favourite Lakers beat writer. Quotes from Jeanie, Magic, and other players from UCLA.
Steve Alford didn’t hesitate when asked about Lonzo Ball’s enthusiastic and controversial father, LaVar.
Was LaVar Ball around the team much?
“Zero,” Alford said.
Was he ever at practice?
“Never at practice,” Alford said. “Never at practice; never called me.”
Did he ever try to meddle in your coaching?
“Never,” Alford said.
The Lakers will do their research on Lonzo’s vociferous dad.
When they call Alford, he knows what he’ll say.
“I’ll talk to them like I’m talking to you,” Alford said. “He was terrific. I had no dealings with him at all. He let me coach his son, didn’t get in the way at all.”

the amount of hate Ball received from GB is funny since they know he's a Lakers fan.

This actually makes me feel better about his dad. As long as he lets Luke coach and not meddle with anything Lakers wise, I'm all for Ball at the #2.

Make Lonzo the guy! There's no other option here and the Lakers can't overthink this.

Lakers Draft Workout - May 29:
1. Bryce Alford
2. Dwayne Bacon
3. Jordan Bell
4. Amida Brimah
5. Kennedy Meeks
6. Derrick Walton Jr
Bacon and Bell are potential late first round or second round picks. The rest of the workout candidates are all seniors and most likely looking for summer league invites.

DSJ - 3
Kennard - 1
Tatum - 5
Markkanen - 4
Jarrett Allen - 2
Touchest choice was between Jackson and Tatum but Tatum is too skilled right now for the NBA and his 3 point shot is crazy good. Tatum and Markkanen would create a crazy stretch rookie team.

Great defensive team, that can shoot threes all around except the center spot.

Re: 2017 NBA Draft Thread: Lakeshow edition
I want Isaac at 2. He's fluid. Moves like a wing. He projects to stretch the floor. He's good on the glass. Has a handle. In my opinion, he has the highest ceiling after Fultz. Even though he was a victim of the hockey subbing at FSU I saw enough to take him over the other kids. I see a lot of red flags in other top prospects.

The hate is unreal. The Lakers drafting Lonzo might just be the best thing for Durant. Lonzo will probably be the most hated player in the league the moment he ends up with the Lakers.

Re: 2017 NBA Draft Thread: Lakeshow edition
Lonzo being hated is nothing to us Lakers fans. At least his own fans won't hate on him like they did with D'Angelo.
