My preferences in order assuming RJ is off the board would probably be

Garland

Dont care about the rest.

Offensively, Garland. Defensively, Lonzo. On a team with BI, Kuz, and LeBron? Lonzo.

I don't think I'd hesitate to take Garland #2, assuming his work ethic is good enough to address his weaknesses.

Yep. That's why I don't even bother entertaining a PG, assuming we don't do trades to get rid of some current players we have.
Not to mention Kyrie is still a strong possibility.

It's SG first and C second. Gimme Culver all day and let's stop talking about this ****.
Or if by some miracle NY gets him I want Hayes.

And they cant play together because?

I think they would complement each other quite well since they can be used to cover each other's weaknesses.

They can definitely play together, but if I'm looking to pair someone up in the backcourt with Lonzo, from this draft, it's Culver.

I can live with that, but I thought you were on the Hunter train.

Yeah, but I see Hunter more as a Kuzma replacement. I'd rather sign Jimmy and trade Kuz for Sabonis. In this draft I definitely have Hunter and Culver as 1a and 1b.

All this talk is making me crazy. I just want to fast forward a month into the future and just know what we're getting ourselvez into.
The core should be set by July 10th I reckon.

We wont have to wait much longer to know who we will draft anyways. The organization is so transparent that once the private workouts are done it will leak everywhere whom we liked the most.

The draft will let you know what is in the works... If we trade Lonzo, we are signing Irving, if we don’t trade Lonzo, we are signing Butler or Kawhi, it is really that simple...

In terms of the draft, I like Culver (TT Wing) or Hayes (Texas C)... Hayes is the next Tyson Chandler & Culver could be the next Roy or Butler type...

Ingram off the bench then?

Which would be insane considering Hunter is nowhwere near Ingram as a talent.

Can't imagine how you'd have a starting lineup with 4 guys who like to dribble the ball, one has to be on the bench and Ingram makes most sense in that situation.

Sign Kyrie, draft Culver at #4 and trade Ball for Dunn and #7. Even if we don't trade for anybody else, keep the rest of the pups and fill the roster with minimum veterans, that's a damn solid team.

Kyrie
Culver
Ingram
Lebron
Hayes

Dunn, Caruso, Hart, Kuzma already off the bench, MLE/ minimum still left. That's already a deep ass team who can contend if not for the injuries and the impending split of the Warriors. West is wide open next year.

Defense should be off the charts, if we're not top 5 somebody needs to get fired, cause we check all the boxes, length, perimeter defense, rim protection, etc. Offense is balanced and shooting is there, with the possibility of getting even better with the right signings.

Seems like people like the Magic plan of 4 ball handlers on the court at once.

DEFENSE TOP 5??
With a thin, rookie C (take longer to develop than other positions)?
With a coasting Lebron?
With Kyrie, a poor defender?
Culver is unproven, but very athletic. Maybe a plus defender. But why not go Hunter, who was DPOY, older, better shooter, and more ready. Lower ceiling, but higher floor.
BI is a good defender, not elite, but good.

Shooting worries me a bit still with that lineup. 2 not great shooters on the wing in BI and Culver and then Hayes

You draft the best player avaible that high in a draft in the NBA. This is a league where one player by himself can literally lead a team to the finals. This isnt the NFL. Fit should never ever be the main factor when picking that high in an NBA draft. If you feel one player is better than the others then you pick him. i dont give two **** what skill set conflicts with other players on the team as long as we got the best player left at number 4 and this is reflected over the next 15 years.

As a fan of the team yout prioritize as much success as possible over the course of more than just two years.

Also if you are looking at it from a trade asset you would prioritize the same thing as well since another team would want that asset to actually be the best young player possible as well.
