Re: CT LIX: Return of the Megathread
speaking of. i held a couple of hearts today with aortic bypasses. Its gnarly touching the artery when it has gone through atherosclerosis. The stuff feels like coral hard. Also looked at a couple of smoker lungs. Those things are stiff as hell.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Drink baking soda. Baking soda helps fight bacteria.

True, but replacing it with that fake crap they put in 'sugar free/low fat' desserts is worse... Potentially, much worse.
The label on the Blue Bell Ice Cream is frightening as hell.
I say eat the sugar in moderation, just don't consume it in stupid **** like sodas and energy drinks, or too many processed sugars like breads... Then get the exercise necessary to maintain the level of fitness you think is reasonable.
Sugar will give you diabetes and other health problem. Fake sugar will give you cancer. This is expert advice I received before. When I get the doctors name one day, I'll post it as he's doing research in Purdue University.
The best sweetener you can get is real honey or sugar cane. I'm lucky enough to have both in my area of this world.

Solid decision... Try Haagen Dazs Prailines and Cream. Great with Bourbon, they have it at a lot of quick mart places here, and the ingredients aren't too bad.
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...

how does one eat ice cream with bourbon? Do you like pour it on it or do you sip and eat a spoonful?

In ny for a for a week. Went to manhattan yesterday to watch a malcolm gladwell lecture. Talked to him after, he signed my copy of "a tipping point". He was a nice guy.
Then i went clubbing until like 5 am.
All in all, a good night.

You eat the ice cream... And Drink the Bourbon... I mean, WTF Earl?
Seriously though. Bourbon, like Brandy, goes good with desserts. My favorite is there's a restaurant in San Antonio that does this pecan pie ala mode thing that's really more like a pecan brownie, and they have Pappy Van Winkle by the glass, and a really good Pecan Porter on tap.
Sip the Bourbon, eat the pie, wash it all down with the ice cold porter... Life doesn't get a lot better.
It's all pretty expensive (especially the Van Winkle), but worth it at least a couple times a year.
I always seem to be there when the Lakers are in town too... Which is weird.
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...
