Pretty decent man. The new research lab is kind of nice. They gave me a computing cluster for myself. :)

That was a cynical response but honestly most politicians aren't like obama who try to articulate every point and idea they have. Say what you will about obama, but the man is incredibly intelligent and educated.

Romney wants to give me a greencard while Obama cares more about legalizing the illegals. If I had a vote I'd vote Republican.

That happens to be my #1 issue. The immigration rules are thoroughly outdated and the Bush administration did more to ease up a few areas than the Democrats did over the last 4 years.

Although the Clinton government started investing heavily in R&D, national labs, Bush continued that aggressively and the funding to NIH etc was reduced for the first time last year, due to budget cuts, which effected my livelihood.

Obama has just not been a risk-taker in any sense for a guy that looked like a breath of fresh air in 2008.

He likely wins in foreign policy. That's all.

what about romneys health care plan as opposed to obamas? pretty significant issue as well.

also foreign policy is imo the biggest issue. how our president is perceived by the world is who they regard the US as. perception is reality in politics and to have someone like obama speaking for behalf of america is, to me, far more rewarding than someone like romney.

just look at the issues with israel and the US. romney is a close friend of prime minister netanyahu, how would that effect our relationship with israel and their current struggle with iran if romney were elected? as opposed to obama who has taken a much more neutral stance (actually he does not get along with netanyahu at all) and hasnt reacted to netanyahu's "threats" of a deadline for the US stance on israel-iran. the elections in the US effect more than just you and me. its important to consider that when voting.

also there is no "winning" of issues. you might agree with one of the candidates but its not winning.

personally, ive been studying the middle east so i havent been up to date on all the issues surrounding obama or romney.

If Romney wins, he will repeal the Affordable Care Act. I will be completely uninsurable due to preexisting conditions. Again. Not that I could afford health insurance if it's done away with anyway, at least I could apply for Medicaid.

Oh wait, he wants to gut that too :-?

Hasn't Israel been an American ally for ages? So where does playing it neutral come from now? Israel is possibly the one nation that's more advanced in military technology than the US and a collaboration would likely be more beneficial.

Pakistan has been receiving military aid to the tune of several hundred millions a year ($738 mil if I'm not wrong), yet they housed the biggest enemy of the nation and still the military aid continues when those resources could well serve better erasing the national deficit.

Then comes the major issue of having an embassy in Libya, a country without a democratic rule in the first place. US supported the uprising against Gaddhafi and the lawlessness eventually strengthened Islamic terrorists' presence in the country, which ended badly for the US in the end.

I wouldn't know much about this because I'm completely taken care of by my employer. If the situation does get that bad, then I agree that's a major knock on the Republicans.

They've been crowing about completely repealing it since the day it passed, and they doubled down on that ish after the Supreme Court ruled it was constitutional
