So I'm about at two weeks of not sleeping more than 6 hours a night and waking up at least 4 times per night. Finally giving up and took some NyQuil (cough was all I had) tonight and hopefully that helps. I was going to take one of my roommates lunesta's, but it expired a year ago and I'm a bit of a puss when it comes to pharm drugs, even though I'm sure it's fine - just less potent.

Anyone have anything over the counter they'd recommend? I heard nyquil makes something specifically for sleep. It wouldn't be for nightly use, just when I can't stand being tired anymore.

Damn legality of a certain herbal medicine that has faithfully and safely put me to sleep for two years :(.

Ive done the Nyquil thing, but I do it rarely because im scared that ill develop an addiction.

You can try eating or drinking certain foods like warm milk, or turkey that contains serotonin which makes you sleepy.

I've tried pretty much all their is to dry non medication wise. I've had the issue since high school, but a nice J in the evening always had me sleeping 7-8 hours straight through for most of college, but due to job searching and stress picking up in the semester I'm getting a double whammy and can't sleep.

Pretty common here. better safe than sorry imo. It has helped significantly with stress, anxiety and insomnia. I truly think it is absurd that it is illegal. When you're drunk you're like, "hey... let's go do something stupid!" and then you do it. When you're high you're like, "hey... wouldn't it be funny if we did this stupid thing!" and then you laugh about it for a 10 minutes which seems like 5 seconds and then you grab some doritos. The negatives are it's easy to become a bum if you have motivation problems (although there are many, highly functional stoners in society). I could talk about this for a long time (pros/cons, alcohol/tobacco hypocrisy, misinformation and the dangers it presents, etc..), but I'm actually feeling like I could doze off.

Talk to you not until tomorrow, I hope.

Latin makes people sound smart and since a lot of things derive from latin, it increases your language skills I'm sure.

helps with language skills and linguistics
makes learning a lot of european languages a lot easier
will give me a slight leg up in law

also gek why wouldnt you want to look aesthetic

also im gonna start taking modafinil on the regs i think
so i can function on like 4 or less hours of sleep a night and do so many more things. once i get my productivity up instead of bumming watching tv/playing games, i really think having those extra waking hours will be super useful.

Reading article for research and apparently to maximize sleeping it is optimal to sleep between 11:pm and 2 am.

In other words if there comes a time that you need to sleep a few hour for whatever reason, sleeping between 11 and 2 is your best bet.

I wish I was on some of that limitless stuff. Without the side effects of course.

What about the polyphasic sleeping method? That might do the trick.

It could be a bunch of mumbo jumbo though.
