not really, this is a very strong draft, and the top 3 picks, you can't go wrong with them.

Unless if you're that team that reached for Johnny Flynn, Anthony Bennett, Jordan Hill, Ronaldo Balkman, Aaron Gordon

I give the lakers **** but I have to believe they will take one of the big 4 off the board. Unless if they are simply wowed by someone in the next tier, that have to, and if they take someone in that tier after being wowed, they have to trade back over grabbing someone early

Just read Chad Ford's Q&A and from what he gathers, Minny goes for Okafor and if that happens, Towns to Lakers is a lock. Otherwise its a toss up between Okafor, Russell, Mudiay or even Porzingis with that pick. The Porzingis link is giving me Darko Milicic nightmares.

If that's the case, then Minny: GO OKAFOR!

There's always a lot of GM speak and misinformation being fed to the media regarding the draft. GM's are understandably weary of tipping their hand so they seldom voice their true intentions.

I fully expect Mitch to draft whichever big Minny doesn't take.

Really have no interest hinging the future of our franchise on a Euro guy who has not played against NBA talent what so ever. If we pick Porzingis, I've lost all faith in our front office. He's just not a popular pick by any angle.

More importantly, if this guy is good enough to go #2 in this draft, he should be in talks to go #1 as well given the Okafor/Towns debate that is going on in Minnesota, and that obviously is not the case. They better trade down to pick this dude otherwise they are diminishing the value of the #2 pick in any trade scenario should they draft this guy.

He literally said the exact opposite on ESPN 710 last week. If okafor is there, lakers pick for sure. If towns is available, they'll consider mudiay and Russell as well.

Stay big....talk of Russell and Mudiay...pfff, if the Lakers take one of those guys I'm done. Guards can be had next year and the year after that and the year after that.

i believe in Lakers. If the Lakers wanted to draft Porzingis it's fine, but please trade down and squeeze more assets.

Or you could go economical and pay rondo the and use most the cap space on a damn good big (Aldridge, love, Deandre, Marc) to fill a rotation. Then use the room for a wing like Gerald Green

Or you could pay Dragic who probably hits his stride at this age like Nash, Kidd, and Billups. He has great numbers especially when you see how he finishes at the rim. He could develop the younger guys. You could pay Brewer the 5-6 mil left from the cap and then give the room to Booz or Ed

We need to spend and not spend on trash like Wes, Lin, Kelly, Xavier, and Hill again no matter what.

And you need to take a big as long as you find nothing wrong with them physically. They wre just better assets be it to develop or trade at the deadline for KD if he's looking to be gone. I just don't see Russell impressing at this level ala Steph since he has no handles and struggles vs athletic guys. I think he will have to be used ala Rip off screens at SG. I think Muiday has the most talent, but I'm really not sure where he fits outside Phili to start his career

If the lakers trade down it better be to Denver for Lawson to be included with 7 or for Orlando in a Payton/Tobias/5 for Hill and 2 type thing

It makes sense too. They aren't known for developing anyone since Marbury, Wally, and KG.

Rubio is what he was when he came in, Pek is what he was, Brewer needed to leave to grow, and so on. Okafor is already ready and polished in a lot of areas so there's a easyw ay to see them sticking with him. KG can tell him how to play D, but I'm not sure KG can make towns complete both ways more so than to the extent we would go to to make sure he does become one ala Bynum.

Mchale is the one who put in the time with Al teaching him post moves btw

the eventual "draft Russell to screw with Philly" writers have finally surfaced....it is a poor strategy to say the least. Philly could careless who picks who in front of them, they're in position to take a valued player at 3rd and if they don't fit they could get a boat load of picks for that 3rd pick especially if that said 3rd pick is Okafor, teams will be banging down their doors for that trade.

I wouldn't buy too much into the talk of Okafor to Minny just yet. We're still a whole 28 days away from the draft, it's no reason for agents to start their maneuvering games yet.

The closer we get to Draft night, you'll start hearing and seeing different stories.

But looking at the situation, Okafor isn't the smooth fit like many people think.
