***RANT***
I just started following the Curiosity Rover on Twitter. I've started reading from the day it took off on Aug 5 until the present, just started. Am where it lands and takes pics of Gale Crater. I feel my head rushing each time I see these pictures. I remember as a kid when I learned of the Solar System, all I wanted to do was go to space. I wasn't necessarily sold on being the astronaut, I was heavily influenced by the first Rover that went to Mars. I remember I was in 4th grade back then. I wanted to put a robot in space, explore depths that never had been explored. Ah being a kid, so full of possibilities. I regret not pursuing it more passionately in my formative years, I've fallen off so far on that side it's pathetic. I still love going to the Observatory and am always reading articles but when I see the Curiosity footage on tv, especially the footage of the team at NASA, it brought a tear to my eye. Don't know why, but my eyes got wet. It's truly an amazing spectacle, one that still makes me feel like a kid, i remember getting wet eyes when I first saw the first rover footage as a kid. Space is the place as Sun-Ra so well said.
