I'm saying that providing for ones family isn't the only obligation either parent has, and in this day and age of career women and female executives, it's not just dads that are dropping the parenting ball.

If providing for your family is so all-encompassing that you hardly know your kids, don't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back.
