not sure i like this, i know Philly are taking him but we should do our due diligence just in case something happens (Ingram going to Philly, which would be unfortunate for us since we're banking on him) and we need to figure out how he fits into our team.

maybe it's not the Lakers... maybe it's Simmons? could possibly be Simmons people have been told by the 76ers that they are taking him and Simmons is refusing to set up a date...

or they just haven't been able to get on the same page as far as a date for a workout goes

Don't just assume it's Lakers deciding not to work out Simmons because they don't want to for whatever reason

I don't think he's worked out for Philly either and I doubt he even will.

Yeah, there's zero chance Mitch and Jim are going into this summer, the biggest of their careers, and the only thing they've forgotten to do is to figure out who they're picking number 2.

Simmons has long said he's not going to work out for either team.

that is true but given his love for the lakers he better be prepared to work. Even if the 76ers are taking him he should be working out at least with us.

The closer the Draft gets, the more I like Ingram.

Pretty sweet to sign a "significant" shoe deal before logging one NBA minute.

Brandon Ingram, along with D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle selected to 2016 USA Men's Select Team

Selected for the 2016 USA Basketball Select squad were: Malcolm Brogdon (University of Virginia); Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns); Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Detroit Pistons); Willie Cauley-Stein (Sacramento Kings); Kris Dunn (Providence College); Aaron Gordon (Orlando Magic); Jerami Grant (Philadelphia 76ers); Gary Harris (Denver Nuggets); Rodney Hood (Utah Jazz); Brandon Ingram (Duke University); Brice Johnson (University of North Carolina), Stanley Johnson (Detroit Pistons); Zach LaVine (Minnesota Timberwolves); CJ McCollum (Portland Trail Blazers); Doug McDermott (Chicago Bulls); Emmanuel Mudiay (Denver Nuggets); Jahlil Okafor (Philadelphia 76ers); Jabari Parker (Milwaukee Bucks); Julius Randle (Los Angeles Lakers); D’Angelo Russell (Los Angeles Lakers); Marcus Smart (Boston Celtics); Myles Turner (Indiana Pacers); Denzel Valentine (Michigan State University); Justise Winslow (Miami Heat) and Cody Zeller (Charlotte Hornets).

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, who on Oct. 23, 2015, was named head coach of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team for the 2017-20 quadrennium, will oversee the Select Team and Spurs assistant coach Ime Udoka and Villanova University head coach Jay Wright will serve as assistant coaches.

“Being chosen for the Select Team is an honor and it is an important step in becoming involved in USA Basketball’s National Team program in the future. Current national team players like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, as well as many other outstanding players, got their USA National Team start through a Select Team.

Going to be great experience for these guys, especially with Pop as the coach.

So many stars exploded into the scene after playing in the Olympics. I hope this bodes well for our babies. They'll learn so damn much.

I am ecstatic that Brandon Ingram will be a Laker. I don't even think it's sunk in yet that we actually HAVE the pick.
