Rot in Hell Richard Ramirez! Rot in Hell! :D

Of course most of us wasnt around when he was doing his damage but our parents had to live in fear for 2 years because of this ass clown.

If hermes and I knew each other in real life and he were a superstar, I'd be the person he brought up with him.

I'd lead his entourage. Or be turtle.

I was talking about this with my wife last night who's family and friends were from East LA and pretty caught up in this. They all went to the jail to watch him get locked up after he was arrested.
It's weird to me that unlike most serial killers, we never really heard from Richard Ramirez. As 'famous' as he was, I honestly have no idea what he sounds like, unlike the Dahmers, Mansons, Gacy's of the world...
Seriously though... Good riddance... Cali needs to expedite the punishment phase of the execution process... If a jury comprised of Californians decides a person deserves it, then don't insult them by letting that person die of natural causes waiting for it to happen.

Crazy Story Kilroy!
I bet that scene outside of the Prison Gates must of been insane.

I was talking to my Dad about this goon last night.
He told me that during the time he and my Mom just bought the house I grew up in.
He was fresh out of the US Army and he slept every night with his 9 mm beretta by his side.
Had his backup of a 357 magnum stashed not too far away.
He even took my Mom out to the firing range to get her practice in.
They would bust M-16's, MP5's, Sniper rifles EXT.
But as for her everyday protection Her gun of choice was a .22.

Supposedly gun purchases in the Los Angeles County area went up by 75% during these nervous times.

I believe it. I was pretty young but I remember people were freaked, but it seemed like it ended before it escalated to mass hysteria...

Was it not as bad than it was documented?
Was it in the back of your mind every time you went to sleep?

My Dad said he would wake up to the slightest noises at night sometimes.

Well, it was just that he was caught so quickly... It really only lasted 5 months from March to August 85. And he wasn't given the name right away either. So there was really maybe 4 months of concern and then maybe only 1 of out-right hystaria. Then he tried to carjack a lady and the neighborhood damned-near killed him.

Again, I was pretty young and not from the area... I get mixed messages from my wife's family... Some were terrified, some were caught up in the excitement/spectacle of it all... East LA in the late 70's/Early 80's could be a surreal place.

After listening to the Lupe singles he released recently, I'm stoked for Tetsuo & Youth. I think he will make a good one as long as the album has a lighter tone rather than a political slant. Unfortunately I think the album will come out in 2014.

One of my professors insists that I read John T. Molloy's Dress for Success. Has anyone read it before? Was it helpful?
