L3 (Long Lame Lines) - reader beware
So when I started playin guitar I assumed the only good guitars were either Gibsons, Fenders, Rickenbachers, you know the big names. Anything else was not necessarily garbage, but I figured the only way to get a great sounding, good looking and reliable guitar was to pay up. While recruiting a lead guitarist for the band (I prefer lead accompaniment, specifically playing in the mid tones) I met the guy who would take that spot. He had an Xaviere and an Agile, two brands I've never ever heard of. However, when I plugged his Agile into my amp it played amazing, like really really good. Put some entry level Fenders and Epis to straight shame. I started thinking of buying an Agile and got turned onto his other brand, the Xaviere. He brought an Xaviere ES335 copy, which played absolutely wonderful! It punched those mid tones just like I wanted due to its semi hollow body. I was pretty much sold, and started looking on guitarfetish.com for Xaviere guitars and on rondomusic.com for the Agiles.
I got attached to the Xaviere and decided to order a semi hollow Les Paul copy, complete with a hard shell case for it. The guitar features a Rosewood fretboard (Rosewood is my fav next to Ebony), GFS soapbar style P90s, a set neck, solid mahogany body. I thought it was quite the amazing guitar for the price, and when I read up on reviews there was quite a following for them, people who vouched, videos that simply couldn't be denied. What I learned was how important an amp really is over the guitar. I'm glad I decided to spend $150 on that Peavey 50w tube amp. It makes the Xaviere he's let me borrow really shine. The guitarist by the way, let me borrow a guitar right after the first jam, gotta love that level of trust. It's refreshing meeting people like that. Anywho, I ordered mine and it should arrive tomorrow according to UPS tracker. I just came up on a new practice amp so I can stop using my little Silvertone one. I picked up a Marshall Valvstate VS15R, 40 watts of power for $20, thank you Craigslist

Had the guitar shipped to my job so I can immediately start playing it at work. The beauty is the band now rehearses Saturdays so I'm excited to know I'll have my first brand new guitar ever, I'm quite happy with this purchase and am quite sure it will play well. I'll post some pics and a little video of it if anyone is interested.
Here's a pic of it

the pics don't do it justice, I should post a pic of the Xaviere ES335 copy the guitarist has let me borrow. The guitar has a beautiful finish!
it's not doormatt's 50th anniversary Standard Stratocaster (he has it but doesn't play it

) but I'm pretty sure it'll be gig worthy.
