tviper wrote:Now there are numerous reports that Wiggins is being made available. Well, there goes another FA possibility for LAL. There are literally no possibilities until 2016 and at that point, why is Durant coming here. Bad times. Looks like will have to get a talent via trade. The proposed S&T for Stephenson posted above works for Bledsoe as well, that is:

LAL out: Marshall, Sacre, Nash, HOU 2015 1st = 11,531,486
PHO out: Bledsoe (S&T 112M per, 4 yrs/48) = 12,000,000

Max LAL can take back is 11.531M + 5M = 16.531M so more could be offered to Bledsoe to get the deal done (max cap room no longer necessary because no max players realistically available). Also a possibility would be sending Kelly in a S&T to PHO as he would help replace the loss of Frye. Similar games.

If you want Bledsoe in a sign and trade you would have to give up randle. I don't think the lakers are willing to do that. It will take more than scraps+late first round pick to pry bledsoe away from the suns. Only Philly can give him a max contract so the suns have a lot of leverage. And our gm has made it known he won't trade away bledsoe unless he is recieving good players in return. Again, a deal for bledsoe really doesn't make sense for both teams unless the lakers are willing to include Randle (doubtful.)

Would you do a James + Mekel for Sacre?

Who is James? Looks like the 29 year old Bernard. No thanks, they're both trash. At least Sacre is legit 7 footer and provides energy and defense.

What if we added Crowder in too?

Don't you already have a pretty solid C rotation? Chandler plus the dude who everyone keeps mentioning is too skinny that has a ridiculous PER. You don't think Chandler can stay healthy?

We don't have a solid backup at the C
Wright is a PF, Griffin is a PF, Smith is a PF, Lewis is a PF, and so is Dirk.
Sarce > James. So we would want to trade to upgrade that position.

Do you have the assets for a Hibbert deal?

3-team Trade Idea

Post#609 » by hawkschop1 » Sat Jul 19, 2014 5:29 pm

Phx gets Nash, Randle, CJ Miles and LA first (via Houston)

Lakers get Roy Hibbert, Solomon Hill and Chris Copeland

Indy gets Jordan Hill and Eric Bledsoe

Lakers save cap space as well.

Cap space for what? We can't retroactively sign melo.

We already have 30 mill coming off the books next year before this dumb trade that is essentially randle and a #1 for the most overpaid headcase in the league.

Absolutely terrible idea ....so we give up the most and get the least huh?

Got that through before this thread is locked....and you better hope Slava forgot about his rant of banning people who suggest we should trade Randle

So... hmm... we give up our front court - two of our most motivated full of heart studs in Julius Randle and Jordan Hill... for heartless Hibbert? Did you watch Hibbert during the playoffs? Did Copeland even see minutes?... plus you want a first round draft pick? Why on this rotten earth would we do this trade? To get rid of nash or what?

I want galinari. He should be the target. Especially if nash would really retire if traded.

As a Kobe fan this trade puts him closer to the playoffs than the current roster

Does Hibbert actually have less heart than say two time champion Andrew Bynum? Come on.

Copeland is a rarity. 6'10 three point shooter. Solomon hill was a filler.

If laker fans can deal with another summer of striking out on FA then don't make any trades and keep Steve Nash.

The cap space could bring in a quality back up pg such as Nelson

You can honestly tell me you like Jordan hills contract? That's Paul Millsap money.

In the case of hill..heart doesn't help you finish around the rim.

Why do you think he has so many offensive rebounds! Lmao
