Don't know what's so confusing, all I was asking Danny Darko was a football problem I was having with my team. Again, Happy Birthday my man, I hope you had a good one.
Ah.. thanks bro and my comment was directed at G=K and our dislike for football in general.
Don't mind Ock, we keep giving each other grief in the community thread. Its all in good fun.

not hating, NoMoreLayups! I was just trying to bust your balls cause I don't know anything about football. Don't worry about ME and post#'s, I started in 2005, and as you can see, my post #'s aren't exactly impressive.
I usually browse realgm more to learn to what's going on in LakersLand during the summer (since I'm stuck in Toronto for now) and then to spout when LO pisses me off. I've been MIA for a good # of years because of med school/residency.
And now, back to my little cave...

wassup and welcome. I think Carmelo is a pipe dream. His wife is NY based, I think he SAID he wanted to go to NY, and I wouldn't be surprised to see CP3 and CA there next summer.

Danny Darko wrote:I definitely say talk to both head and D coaches. Of course some other lb wanting reps wants you to stop competing against him for reps and he probably works the good ol boy fiends with the other guys factor. Dont take it personally, even though he'll make it seem that way. Go bust ass and blow some people up with good form. Really if you can be a consistent tackler with good leverage you will make a huge impression. Guys at that position tend to be meat heads looking to blow someone up and taking big whiffs because of it.
Avoid the DE spot in the 3-4 for just the reason you stated. Who wants to be double teamed the whole game while the linebackers get to fly through gaps and press the edges. Watch a few of those videos I linked to, use some of the terminology to the coaches and tell them you'll be there most consistent tackler.
Remember this is football, it's an angry competitive sport. Feel free to have a good sense of humor, but let every insult roll off your back or give it back to them. Don't be afraid to be scrappy even in practice. No regrets means not just taking up a roster spot. So dedicate yourself to finding a quick short burst, being a point guard like vision guy, and the art of angles and effective form tackling.
Thanks for the advice man, I will do my best to get what I can and hope for. What was your football experience in High School? Sounds like you played football yourself since you know a lot about it, what position were you and stuff like that? I am just curious, I like hearing stories and finding out aobut these kind of stuff.
For the record, I'm trying to be a Strong-side linebacker If I could be any linebacker since they are basically the slowest, but they are the most phyisical.

Re: COMMUNITY THREAD X
so i post a legit yahoo article on lebron, on the gb, and its locked y a mod whos tem shares a provenance with gloria estfan and whos handles rhymes with "mashfree" , and he leaves a snarky message when he locked it about violation of t.o.s., and so i go read this mods very t.o.s. and the only violation is thatthe article is longer than three paragraphs, however the article is very scathing inre; lebrons inner circle...
now this mod has been mercurial in the past especially with laker fans....im not trying to start a shite storm, just feel gipped because itwas a legit story, from a source that realgm uses for its very own wiertaps all the time, and was not a rehash of anything else that was up there before...
makes me really appreciate our coolheaded mods here, and reinforces what i already know about the gb, look but dont touch.

there you go, talk about a stickler for the rules

no but each board i'm sure polices the type of content that is posted on it (besides the general stuff that is to be avoided on the entire site) i'm sure mods here keep an eye out for threads that would not bring good discussion to the board and lock those as fast as they can

My football knowledge mostly comes from my buddy who's rising through the coaching ranks fast enough for me to wonder if he might end up in the NFL at somepoint. I love football and played my freshman year, but I was also a hockey player first and did well enough to quit football and start playing for JR all star teams until I almost lost an arm in a basketball accident. (way worse than livingstons knee injury).
I Played Corner because I was really small until my senior year. I was a 5'4" freshman and the second smallest guy on the team. I ended up at 6'5", but physics weren't on my side for football.

What's up everyone. I've been reading these boards since about 2005, always meant to join but just never got around to it. Anyway, I look forward to start posting here.
