If any of you have lived in Pittsburg, what's it like there? Which sectors provide the most job opportunities and how many job opportunities are there in general compared to cities like Philly?
I refuse to answer your questions until you learn to spell. It's Pittsburgh, there's a **** h on the end. This proves you are not ready for the city.
Pittsburgh = nice midwest city
Philly = big ass-holey eastcoast city (think NY, Boston, DC). I do like Philly, but I never wanted to live in a big city. Pittsburgh is a nice middle ground for me where there is plenty to do, see and places to have fun, but I can still drive 30min away and get out of it all and slip into the wild.
Size wise, Philly is a top 5-10 sized city in the US and Pittsburgh is about 50. Carnegie's campus is right up against Pitt's. 2014 saw the most money invested in Pittsburgh Tech since 2000. Healthcare, robotics, medtech, computer/software are all really big trends in the city. There is established healthcare and education/colleges out the wazoo. Pitt and Carnegie are both research powerhouses in different fields. Randomly in the past 4 years, a big food scene has popped up with some restaurants and bars getting national attention. Carnegie is as asian as you'd expect, but not like UCLA asians.... east coast asians.
I've lived in Pittsburgh for the past 6 years now so I can answer any questions you have with a nice touch of yinzer bias.
