Its feels a little sick to see the league and the players taking the fans for granted over this whole process. Its becoming more and more like they will tune in when we are ready to play.

I feel like an addict being given the run around by a peddler.

is there a reason why NBA players can't join the D-league? I would watch, players get to play, team owners make money, everybody wins *smiley face*

I ve been reading online that Wade, Garnett, and Pierce are all being very vocal in these meetings. I would even say they are the hardliners in the lockout.
Nash and Mello are the media face and voice of the players other than Fish. It seems LBJ is the official **** stirrer.

My question is what on earth is Kobe Bryant's role in the lockout? Is he performing that role with this Italian. League hoopla? Really should he be one of the loudest voices in the room during the lockout. I don't remember 99 lockout in detail but I imagine most if not all the nba stars had a role during the dispute. Enlighten me fam!

I as well am a bit surprised that we haven't heard much from or about Kobe in regard to the actual lockout. What we do keep hearing about is how he might go play somewhere overseas. If all the rumors about Kobe possibly playing overseas are true then I don't think it has any positive impact for the lockout ending.

Perhaps he is sitting back and doing the talking through Fisher but I think it would be a lot more meaningful if one of the NBA's top stars in the last decade came out and was vocal about his stance on the lockout. You know damn well Kobe is one of the last people that wants to lose a season especially since the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter each passing year. Then there is the whole aspect of how much money he could lose if an entire season is lost.

Said he went to the lockout meeting yesterday, was boring and stupid. The same arguments over and over, no real negotiating, just repeating the same thing. He also said 50/50 is dumb, people think that's equal but it really isn't.

from Imadogg's thread when Kobe went to UCSB.

I think he's participating in the sessions but he isn't being vocal. probably, as some of you already said, he's doing it through Fish.

I'd rather hear Kobe talk than Lebron though.

Yep I feel that he is leaning towards leaving. And it looks like the Hornets are trying to get sold really fast before CP3 splits as well.

Anybody else not a fan of the NBA still trying to have an 82 game season? I feel like its going to feel so rushed if they have all 82 games. I remember a quote from Chauncey where he said last time there was a shortened season the players were exhausted. Chauncey said he was young back then and felt tired. I think anywhere in the 60 - 70 range is perfect with the season ending on time if a deal is done by this weekend.

CP3 is better and younger than Deron but there is NO CHANCE he resigns with the C's so they are stupid for even trying to trade for him ...

Can't help but think Chris Paul is going to have injury concerns in the coming years, possibly weight concerns also. :) Why am I smiling? Idk.

If it's anyone's weight you should be concerned about it's Deron's. Wait a couple years when all that muscle turns into fat and you'll see. I also believe the severity of Paul's injury has been slightly blown out of proportion. He's not Roy or Oden, he didn't have his meniscus removed, he had it reattached. That's not to say it still couldn't become a problem down the road, but he isn't a ticking time bomb like others perceive.

I don't know about that. I hate to discredit the defending NBA champs but I don't see a miracle run like that happening again. I'm rarely ever wrong a second time.

What is up with those guys with "Lakers" in their name and avatar positing all over the GB. I have yet to see most of them on the Lakers board yet they are making thread after thread on the GB about Dwight and Chris Paul. It makes the rest of the fan base look bad.
