Also the wolves arent trading the #2 for Gasol. Not gonna happen. Some wolves fans on the T&T board are skeptical about a Bynum for #2, sooo...

And if it did happen, the lakers aren't getting irving as he is almost 100% going to be the first pick. #2 is too high to draft knight, so really, the deal makes little sense. In the hypothetical scenario where the wolves traded us the #2, I'd imagine we'd move down to 5/6 for a serviceable big and take knight there....

Is this a joke? did you actually insinuate fisher is a better defeder than Gibson?? WTF?? Just because fisher tries hard on defense doesn't mean he is doing a good job, Gibson is a much better defender.

As far as shooting, it's not even close. Gibson has posted a TS% of 61 and 53 the last 2 years while shooting 40+% from 3. In that time, fisher has posted a TS% 49 and 48 respectively.

Most importantly, fisher is 36 and is only going to get worse. Gibson is only 24 and worst case scenario, this is the best he can do.

Gibson is infinitely better/more valuable than fisher. I would imagine he would be a lot like what people thought Blake would be, good shooter, good defender and solid off the bench. And unlike Blake, he's already used to playing off a superstar, so it won't be that difficult for him to assimilate.

IMO Blake needs to run plays in order to be a truly effective PG. Gibson does not.

my bad....I forgot to include 'PRIME' Fisher

still I doubt we make a move for Gibson without getting rid of FIsher or Blake first.

Kobe is one guy that helped Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, and a few other stars really take off from just chuckers and players constantly trying to play out of their element to becoming what they should be. Brandon Jennings should be a score first PG in a system like Rick Adelman's offense that asks for that. He just needs to be more efficient doing it.

We would have to take a large contract coming back but perhaps it can be done. Here's a try:

Jennings, Gooden for Barnes, Blake, Caracter, Ebanks, two first round picks

we get Jennings for those players? I say hell yea!!! no way Bucks would do this trade though lol

Yeah that deal has been discussed ad nauseum on the T&T. I'd kill for curry, I just love his game and think he is the perfect fit for out team. Even though trading big for small is a no-no, I'd do it for steph.

General consensus from warriors fans is Curry is not available unless they are blown away by the deal. Bynum is not that player unfortunately.

I'm not sure prime fisher is better than Gibson (or what he has the potential to be). Gibson put up insane numbers next to lebron, shot 45+% from the field and 3 with a 60+ TS%. And I've always thought he was a good defender.

Obviously the lakers would try to move Blake or fisher if Gibson came, but he's really more a combo guard so it wouldn't be a problem.

Would you guys do a Odom+Fisher(bought out and re-signed) for Nelson+Bass? Our lineup could be something like this:

Nelson/Blake/Fisher
Bryant/Ebanks
Artest/Barnes
Gasol/Bass/Caracter
Bynum/Foster(Vet min signing)

This is without our 2nd round picks, LLE, MLE, or use of our TPE.

I'd say no, but I really dont like Nelson as our Starting Point guard or as a player in general, so I'm very biased here.

Eh, no thanks on Jameer, he's pretty much more a scoring guard than an actual point guard.

Gasol for Bargnani and the 5th pick

We get rid of Gasol's bad contract(he will be 31 soon so he'll only decline from here with all the mileage from playing the summers and the championship runs)...~20 mil per year is way to much

We get Bargnani, who is not a good defender or rebounder, but he can shoot the 3( a need) and can space the floor.....Drew can be this way the no 1 option in the paint and dominate as he should(or Howard if we do that trade)....Bargnani can spot up at the 3 point line and hit threes all day long,he'll get plenty of open looks

everybody's happy

With the 5th pick we draft Kemba Walker/Brandon Knight and fill our need at the PG spot

Doubt though that the Raptors would accept this trade,Gasol's not worth very much right now

Ehh I'd be hesitant on it. We would get 3 solid players in return for odom and artest, but no I'm not really to sure i would

I like that Ryan Anderson-Nelson for Odom deal on the general board. Seems like a deal that could really help both teams.

The Lakers are somewhat set with:

PG- Nelson, Blake, Fisher, (could still add a quick defensive guard in the draft)
SG- Bryant, (need a SG)
SF- Artest, Barnes
PF- Gasol, Anderson
C- Bynum

Two suggestions: TPE+2nd for Chris Douglass Roberts, draft a combo guard with the 2nd rounder like Shelvin Mack, and the MLE for Kenyon Martin. That way you can play Gasol's candy ass with a tough guy like Kenyon Martin and spread the floor with Ryan Anderson when Bynum's there.

Maybe management will ask for him while we're negotiating for Howard. Because that's the only way a deal with Orlando should take place.

Too expensive. I don't think they can pull it off.

I mean it's not like Gasol-Bynum for Nelson-Howard would work?

The only trade the lakers would think about with the magic is for dwight.

Jameer isn't good enough nor does he have enough upside to warrant our 3rd best player/6MOY.

How terrible would our bench be with Anderson instead of Odom?? It would be awful. Anderson has no place on this team unless he is a starter, which he would not be.

Bynum for biedrens/curry is still my favorite deal.

Gasol/Walton for blatche/lewis/lotto pick is second.

I'd trade Gasol before Bynum, but his value is so hard to pinpoint.

Anyone open to acquiring Brandon Jennings? Because according to CBS News the Bucks sure are open to trading him.
