Do we really have to sit through another day of Raptors fans talking about how they could beat us easily, and Denver fans wanting asterisks on everything we've ever done...
Hope our guys are in treatment all day today.

LeBron's record on closeout games is the best in NBA history, it's 38-10.

We are really tempting fate to go to six games with the Mamba unis tomorrow. I don’t like it cause I don’t wanna hear Raptors and McNuggets fans either.

Makes me wonder if we should bring McGee in for Davis instead of Morris... Morris has been one of our best 3pt shooters but he's not great on D. Maybe McGee's length would be better... He does a lot of those same things... Just not nearly as well.
I just can't get over the fact that McGee is still on the roster but hasn't played in the Finals yet... Seems like we should have at least tried him in there for situations.
McGee is terrible at fronting a player but great at blocking shots. If a guy goes into his body then McGee will foul him more often than he should. I do agree he would be good at going under screens and sagging back because that's his MO, to sag and then leap forward and block.
It's not a bad idea though, McGee may be a great option when Bam sits. He should get out there, he honestly had some great defensive sequence against driving wings like Butler.
The idea is very intriguing indeed because of his ability to protect the rim but when Bam sits, stretch Bigs like Olynik and Leonard is in..
Btw, that clip about AD was very informative, the guy is such a freak on defense and I can’t help but wonder if this team would at least be decent without him. Again I like Vogel’s defensive schemes but they are not really good on offensive sets, mostly relying on transition baskets and talent superiority. The shooting of KCP, Morris, Rondo, the high IQ of Rajon and Lebron and their Offensive efficiency at 100 possessions are low..

An average max salary player is probably around the Westbrook/Porzingis range.
Replacing Davis with Porzingis or LeBron with Westbrook would still make the team do well. Don't know how well though, not sure either team beats the Nuggets.

We’re going to have a lot of ring chasers dying to get on our team in the offseason. I love it!

Well, I guess what I am implying is that if this team wins it all, I think it would be foolish for us esp MGT to say, well, we got everything we need for next season, everybody did well, end of the story.
Again I like Vogel's trapping scheme vs Portland and Houston and maybe even against Denver even though Lebron had to man up and lock up Murray in crucial times but his offense needs a lot of work IMO. This team is extremely reliant on the greatness of it's 2 superstars PLUS a savy court general like Rondo, Add the good shooting of KCP, Morris and the hustle of Caruso. On the other hand, Miami is relying on 2 undrafted players in Nunn and Robinson, 13th pick Herro and 14th pick Adebayo to help Butler on offense.
I mean can anybody see how they get high % shots from their offensive sets besides KCP's screen/roll action to the right side?
I'm NOT asking for the Lakers to fire Vogel, but I really think they need to get ANOTHER offensive minded assistant coach to come up better sets to maximize the talent of the roster. They have avoided the Clippers and Boston and instead is facing the 5th seed Heat and next year Lebron will be 36!

Well weve seen Miamis gameplan. Muddy the Waters. Hack. Axe. And physically assault our players, while walling off Bron. Bron was being taken down, and it caused Bron to stop driving the lane and turned him into a jump shooter. Our gameplan? We caught them off guard and AD put the clamps on Jimmy. Check mate. We now have a virtual Lock on this series.

Vogel and staff have made some incredible adjustments not just in this series but the entire playoffs.
They deserve a lot of credit .
Can’t wait till tomorrow night. Miami will play with desperation. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them be super physical and borderline dirty to stave off elimination.
They know they’re outclassed in talent and have so far been out coached. They will resort to hacking with Crowder and Olynyk and the likes.
We have to stay cool and not react, outrebound them, withstand their early runs, and keep down our turnovers.
#17 is inevitable if we do that.
Let’s go Lakers!!!
