I'm not on the Randle wagon, never was....his skillset is limited in today's NBA, I don't see a whole lot of winning teams where his game could work out, but one of them is definitely San Antonio. We all know Pop loves him, unfortunately sign and trading his ass won't be enough, it pains me to say this but we need to include Ingram.
Randle will have 0 problems to agreeing with a S&T and play for Pop, as long as it's getting him paid.
Randle/Ingram for a disgruntled Kawhi, the Spurs can't say no....I'd even reckon we could make them take Deng as well if we add an incentive or two, or simply bluff on Kawhi's impending FA. He has a year left on his contract, the Spurs can't ask for the moon here.
We'd still have Ball/Kuzma/Hart, plus possibly Lopez since the room exception is still there...plus the afromentioned 3 super stars.
Ring chasers would walk to LA and play for free if it was possible, that 7 man foundation + the right pieces are more than enough to contend from year one.
We don't trade for someone who is going to be a free agent next summer. What happened with PG? Laker fans were dying to trade for him last summer and we waited and we're in a perfect position to sign him without losing any assets.
We can sign Kawhi next summer without losing assets.
And what if Paul George signs with Philly or OKC? Then do we trust that theory again?
