Maybe you can tell me out of Marc, Javale, and Dwight which of those three were the bigs not played off the floor in their last run and the run before that?

I’m damn comfortable with AD at the 5, Bron at the 4, and Kieff bed cause Dwight and Javale were cheerleaders

AD at the 5? I think you missed his initial press conference, when he said he did not want to play the 5. And look what happened? He's injured. Cmon man, keep up with the info

And you need to keep up with reality where AD said in the finals last year he has no problem playing C in the playoffs but not during the year. You also need to look at the actual facts which says AD played less C mins this regular season than he did last year before his injury with Marc and Trez. The fact is AD, Bron, Kieff won you a title.

I dont think having Gasol as our starting center is optimal. But I do agree with the kblo that Pelinka has done a lot for our team. Two separate arguments you are blending into one which confuses the discussion.

Pelinkas whole plan for the 5 this year revolves around 1 thing. Signing Drummond. If we don't get that done, Marc Gasol is our go to.

Well sure. Then let's sign Drummond. If we dont, well let's run w Gasol at our center position, it will be up to Vogel and staff to rack their brains on that one then.
The thing is, you dont know behind closed doors what Pelinka has done. For all we know , he may have had sleepless nights the last 3 weeks working 90 hour weeks constantly on the phone and drawing up different types of plans.
Just because no result has been shown on our end , doesnt mean that we know simply his whole plan for center is just Gasol .

He got injured playing power forward. Pick your damn narrative. His minutes were mainly at the 4. And you knew going in AD gets injured every year sort of like Shaq did.

Dwight and Javale weren’t playoff players. Markieff stole their minutes. Marc unlike those two last I checked played every damn game when he won a title.

Please watch the games. You need to watch the games, and not be a bandwagon jumper. AD was taking on the extra heavy load and pounding on the interior.

I watch every game and I know actual facts, you have none. AD attempted the most 3s he’s taken this year. AD played less mins at center than he played last year and any year aside from when he played with Boogie. He played a career low in minutes.

He got hurt but it’s not because he played too much 5. He got hurt but he’s not played more inside than last year. He got hurt and not because his minutes went up.

You have no valid or factual argument, you are a hot take and lying badly to try and present said take

Least we didn’t nuke every member of our team to get him. But that said you would think they have to give him an extension now and let him retire a Raptor. If not it’s a dumb thing on their part to let him walk this summer or not offer him a deal.

I can’t even argue that they made themselves a better team.

They can still do sign and trade in the off-season.

I just thought about it, but if they wanted to do it. Kawhi, Lowry, and Ibaka could join the Knicks together.

Like I said you have no factual argument, if you did you wouldn’t duck and hide

Here’s a fact Lakers' starting five of Schroder-KCP-LeBron-AD-Gasol was outscoring teams by 13.9 points per 100 possessions before AD went down

They actually avoided the tax too. That was the goal after the Fournier trade. They needed to move him, Smart, or Thompson to avoid the tax.

The bulls might have the best collection of big bodies now with Theis, Vucevic, Young, and Mark out east

This is how you fool yourself with facts. To believe that we don't need an upgrade at the 5 is delusional. To think that Gasol Alone is gonna get it done, there's really no arguing with that type of Lunacy. But hey, I guess you believe what you believe. And one sees what one sees.

So Drummond is a lock right? I hope Rob knows what he's doing with the Schroder and Trez contracts. As of right now, THT, Caruso, and Schroder are out the door because we didn't created any cap space for them.

Horrible decision not including THT to get Lowry. Like.. brutal decision.

If everyone's healthy, THT won't be in the rotation in the playoffs. KCP has looked dead for the last month and a half. Schroder, as good as he is, is not a great offensive fit next to LeBron especially down the stretch of playoff games. We needed more shooting on this roster and we got none of it.

Hell, even a deal like McKinnie + cash + 2nd round pick for a player like Wayne Ellington to give us KCP insurance would've been awesome.

I really think we're going to regret this day. I hope I'm wrong.
