Aaaand there it is. As soon as Fred VanVleet and Amen get to town, Kevin Porter Jr. gets arrested for assault and strangulation.
Bad news is it happened to a gal who plays in the WNBA, so they won't be able to sweep this under the rug like they did with Bridges.

The second bad news is the contract he signed with the Rockets.

Read on Twitter

So he's essentially done, the Rockets will waive his ass in a hurry and he's got a few strikes under his belt, if Primo can't get a place in the league while doing a lot less, he won't either.

Couldn't get fast enough from that boat. When you know, you know. 8-)

Had a feeling something will happen. Couldn't even have the guts to include him in trade packages

So I basically traded LeBron for Caruso lololol

I think it was Demar.

That's a fair offer.

Kudos to my guy Porter Jr for sarcificing his career to clear a path for the future franchise of the Rockets, Amen. His sacrifice and relevancy to our league and the Rockets will be remembered in fondess.

You bastard lucked out on Cam as well. No way he would've been in the rotation from day one.

This incident opens up a lot of opportunities for him as well, I don't think Amen alone is eating all of Porter's minutes.
Sure as hell it better not be Tate.

Nah, FIBA won't mean **** if he's back to his NBA level.

Houston are in win now mode, I don't know what changed but Fertitta got mad. Hiring Udoka and signing VanVleet and Brooks should tell you this, not to mention they got rid of three former 1st round picks for basically nothing.

Guys still on their rookie deals. Christopher, Tyty and Garuba. Plus Martin Jr. who played close to 30 mpg for them last year.

It's clear they want to get close to the play in at least and who will be better and more impactful will play. No more politics this year.

Memphis Brooks will not keep his starting position for more than 50 games on this team. Or even if he does, it will be just traditionally, but playing 20 mins a game. He needs to keep the FIBA momentum going.

VanVleet will play a **** load of minutes as per usual, he's used to it from Toronto.

I've always liked Brooks - he plays with an edge and persona so to speak, but I truly think a lot of that was because of Memphis culture as a whole. I think the antics will but cut down a decent bit, he's going to play well, and play 30/30+ minutes per game.

I just want to see the VanVleet/Amen/Brooks/Eason/Smith lineup defensively.

And I will get that wish at some point. Sengun can barely stay on the court due to foul trouble at certain points and he's not a good defender, something Udoka preaches insistently.

And I don't trust Landale to handle all of the backup minutes. Smith at C will be a reality for 5-10 mins every game.

The NBA Governors board approved the load management new rule.
No team can rest healthy stars in the same game.

Lebron and Davis
Kawhi and George
Luka and Kyrie
Durant and Booker

etc

One of each has to be available at all times barring injuries.

This alongside the min 65 games threshold for awards, means great news for fantasy purposes, we might have a great season on our hands.

So stupid. Does this rule prevent them from playing 2 minutes of the first quarter and sitting the rest of the game? This is gonna kill sports bettors.

No "star" player is ever going to go with this.

It's all about the stats my man, stats get you paid. And playing 2 mins in a game decimates your averages.

For the players, I actually think they won't mind it. They get a huge usage boost during certain games, they won't need to share the ball with the other "star". All you can eat at the shooting buffet.

Something out there ain't right and everyone knows it. 8-)

Also, the **** who said the NBA should start in late October needs to have extra worms desecrating his body.

All the bitching about the back to back and condensed season. Well duh, START THE **** SEASON EARLIER!!!

80% of the NBA players have been sitting on their ass for 6 months, start this **** in early October at the latest, I can't wait anymore.
