Whaaaaa??? I don't know about that man. Alot of track chicks got ass, they just have more muscle than your typical female for obvious reasons.

The tracks chicks that I've seen at a high school and college level don't even compare to that. In my experience track chicks are fit but not voluptuous at all.

What are your opinions on PhD's in industry? Good decision, bad decision, depends?

Its decent if you are interested in the research, its more or less like being in a 3-4 year committed relationship with your research topic and your adviser. There are quite a lot of PhDs in industry but a lot of them tend to stick to academia due to one reason or the other, mostly due to an inclination towards a less hectic lifestyle.

From a money stand point I'd say a Masters + 3 years experience will put you in the same or sometimes higher pay scale than a PhD.

With a masters you have the chance to switch fields like I did but if your options look bad after a PhD it will be too weird to do something else unrelated.

If you do move from a Phd to the industry and play your cards right you can move into a leadership position like chief of a department but be careful since some domains like Biomed, Bioinformatics etc need a couple of years of post doc experience after the PhD to be a bit more relevant.

I remember watching the Beijing Olympics in the US, I saw a lot of Basketball, gymnastics, swimming, and running.

While watching the Olympics in Vietnam sucks. I get a lot of badminton, fencing, and ping pong coverage on TV. I'm sure those in the US didn't even know those are Olympic games. Makes me think the Olympics needs to include bowling, pool (billards), darts, and other (Please Use More Appropriate Word) games just so people can get gold medals.

Some of the games that China is getting medals on, don't even have any Americans competing in them like badminton. Wtf, how the hell is badminton an Olympic sport? Great, China gets gold and silver in badminton while Serena Williams just made future Mrs. Sasha Vujacic her bitch on the tennis court and won the gold.

And how does a 16 year old chinese girl break the worlds record in a swimming event that even Locht couldn't beat? The world is crazy.

tl;dr - Badminton is a lame Olympic sport. Go USA!

I've watched Olympics London ping pong and fencing for a minute. Ping pong is legit and fencing is over in like a second and they're so fast you can't even see whats going on.

Fencing is like tag-your-it.

Ping pong would be legit if the loser had to take shots for every shot they missed. It's still on par with bowling, darts, pool, and put-put.
