Contemplating on a trade. Looking back on my trade history:

Traded Tyson Chandler for a pick (supposedly two picks but Ty happened smh)
Traded DeMar DeRozan for Roy Hibbert (damn it, Ty)
Traded picks (#4 who became Buddy Hield I think and rights to swap picks) for Klay Thompson and Terrence Jones
Traded 2 2nd rounders for rights to swap first rounders (who became the #1 pick, with 3 GMs owning the right throughout the season)
Traded Steph Curry and Justin Anderson for CJ McCollum and Chris Paul
Traded Klay Thompson for Victor Oladipo plus a protected pick that I don't think materialized
Traded Alex Len plus the right for the #1 pick (who became Lonzo) for Dwight Howard

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, DeMar DeRozan, Justin Anderson, Tyson Chandler, Alex Len, Lonzo Ball, Buddy Hield

became

Chris Paul, CJ McCollum, Victor Oladipo, Dwight Howard, Terrence Jones, Roy Hibbert

Moral of the story is, do not trade with TyCobb ever again. Jk

Oh it materialized and you got a pretty decent player from it:
Spoiler:
11-19-16
Tugs trades Klay Thompson to Kobe>Jordan>God for Victor Oladipo and a 2017 2nd round pick (restricted, see 8-10-16 trade for details).

08-10-16
Mirjalovic trades pick #11 to KJG for pick #12 and the right to swap 2nd round picks in 2017 (top 16 protected).
(The draft protection is on KJG's 2017 2nd rounder -if KJG's 2017 2nd round pick falls out of the top 16, then Mirja has the right to swap a lower 2nd round pick for it.)

2017 Draft
13 Tugs (via Kobe>Jordan>God) - John Collins

I miss Oladipo and his steals, but he was a terrible fit with Westbrook and I never would have won my 2nd championship without trading for Klay.

Ah, the good ole' pick swap and protection days.

I remember the Ball draft clusterfu*k.

It all started with this:

07-19-2016
Tugs trades his 2nd round pick, and his 2nd round pick via ROballer, to ROballer, for the right to swap 1st round picks in 2017, with ROballer( ROballer earning the same right)

I know, right.  You can't script this ****.

Long story short, I thought tugzer would suck so I wanted the right to swap picks. Turns out it was the complete opposite.

Then this came:

08-19-16
Optms trades Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to Roballer for his 2017 first round pick & Optms gains Roballer's right to swap picks with Tugs.

So Optms had my pick and right to swap. Tugs kept his right. Seeing I sucked ass, I knew I needed the **** swap right tugs owned.

And voilà:

11-27-16
ROballer trades Dwight Howard to Tugs for Alex Len and a 2017 1st round pick (ROballer's rights is now with Optms from the RHJ trade and now ROballer has tugs' right to swap picks with Optms).

So I ended up with the right of swapping for my own **** 1st rounder. Then I tanked my ass off to ensure I had the no.1 pick, got Ball and traded him without him actually playing a game for me, for what essentially became Capela/Jordan/Rubio, and went from the worst team in the league to reaching the Finals the very next year.

This is just a fun story for the rookies, this league is **** nuts man.

so forgive the new guy who is still trying to understand your league while at work and putting clients on hold.... with the #3 pick, can I select any of the FA or the newly 2018 drafted players?

Slava said it best. Poor man's Randle, and Randle was terrible at fantasy.

I wouldn' trade his teammate Harry Giles for him even if you added a 1st. Not a joke.

Didn't think Bagley would even go top 5 tbh. Much less over Ayton.

What's your reasoning behind that selection, bdj? Would love to hear it.

I offered him Jordan and Ingles (said he wanted rebounds and 3's) for the pick, more like a Hail Mary because that shouldn't be enough for a top 3 pick.... And he proceeds in taking Bagley's Okaforish ass. I even contemplated how far he'll drop, never in a million years thought he'll go no. 3.

And **** me, that JJ III is such an underrated pick. Said it since December, best big in the draft.

The way this is all playing out is reminiscent of a scene I've seen play out before.

Mirja = Hinkie

Earl = Colangelo

It is a combination of things.... but what it really came down to is not understanding the format of your league. I really thought Ayton was selected. No instructions, or who was selected, traded, available. I'm at work and really haven't had the time time to research how everything is working. Yea, maybe a bad selection, but hey, I will still do everything I can to kick your asses when the season is open.
