Solid win against Grizzlies last night. Ugly win, but good to see us grind out a win with hard work on defense!!!

I saw at the Lakers Nation show earlier that the lakers are 7-3 since the team added players and the no. 1 defensive team since the trade deadline….

Nice !

Not trying to take anything away from AD, he's been playing like a giant amongst men against teams without their best center/without a center these last few games.
But definitely love seeing him do what he has to do against them rather than what he was as a power forward last couple years.

This team is finally looking like their going somewhere. If not this year, next year. I personally believe we can win the championship this year though.

I'm as optimistic (and maybe delusional) as you. The only thing stopping us from winning the championship is another injury to AD. AD is a monster on both sides of the court when healthy. This team is good right now with Reaves and Troy Brown Jr. stepping up. This team might even be better when Lebron and DLo comes back. If this team is fully healthy, I can say that championship is very possible.

Yes, I also agree...it has always been (except for last season) Lakers vs AD injury and to a lesser degree, lebron's deterioration from playing too much.
If AD stays healthy for at least 3 more months (lakers need to load manage him at least a few more strategic games this month and in April, we can't have him full steam all the way to the play in) we have every chance to the banner

AD leading the Lakers to a chip would be a particularly great story because there were a few people questioning his selection to the top 75 team.

I felt like in the last title run, he was the Lakers best player for the totality of the playoffs (Lebron was better in the Finals specifically). A title this year would undoubtedly be more “his” than “Lebron’s”.

NY is playing very well right now... They're going to be tough to beat... Phoenix is going to be a huge test, and the Minny game is basically a must-win...
Dallas and the Clippers are going to be super tough too...

The rest are all winnable I think... Not easy, but winnable as long as we have AD and DLo back...

I’d guess that the four last teams standing in the WC will be the Nuggets, Suns, Clippers, Lakers. It would be fun to beat the Suns in the WCF.

Yeah, we can win it all. But we have to play defense like we currently are or better. Showtime!

Adding Vanderbilt, and getting rid of Thomas Bryant and Westbrook has been huge for the defense. In their last ten games, the Lakers now have the best defense in the league.

I think Westbrook is going to sink the Clippers in the playoffs if Lue insists on playing him big minutes and in crunch time down the stretch.

I very much agree. AD's buzzer beater against the Nuggets was the biggest shot of that title run. I felt like the Nuggets were the toughest opponent that year. If that shot did not went through I don't know if we could have won that chip. That is a shot similar to Horry's against the Kings.

Game 2 didn't worry me I recall thinking if we lose this game, we just adjust and take the next two. It was a bonus AD got that three but I believe we would have taken that series in 5 or 6 still if we lost that one. Remember lebron and Co loved to feel out each of game 1s previous series so I didn't feel differently w the Denver one.

These wins are great on multiple levels.

Obviously, the wins are moving the Lakers up in the standings, but these wins also take pressure off Lebron to feel like he needs to rush back to help the team sneak into the play-in. He can take his time, and try to get as right as possible.

Additionally, a win like this takes the pressure off of AD. With D'Lo back, he now doesn't have to feel like he has to be perfect on a nightly basis just for the team to gut out a win.

Best of all these wins build up momentum and confidence. If the Lakers win their next 3 (very good chance IMO), they're going to head into the Dallas game with a ton of confidence.

I think a 40-37 or 41-36 record entering April is VERY doable.

Let's focus on New York Knicks solely; the team has to focus and treat this game Sunday as an ELIMINATION PLAY-IN GAME if they want to prove anything that they can make noise in the postseason.

AD / DLO and Co you must win this game!!!!!!

Very much agreed with all your points. minus the expectations.

They better not expecting highly on themselves. They need the sense of urgency until they lock in to playoff spot. Play with sense of urgency, intensity and energy is all they need now.

With Dlo back, you can withhold AD's minutes on the court a bit to around 30 mins/game to save some legs. Other than that, energy and sense of urgency. Losing 1 or 2 games may mean falling out of the play-in spots in the West.

Perfect scenario is they get 6th spot and avoid the risk of losing in the play-in tourney but to get there I think they need to ride AD hard and play him for most of the remaining games. But the risk of course is Davis getting injured.
But if they sit him for 3 plus games, who will cover the opposing centers with Bamba out, Rui, Vando who are 6-8?
