The shot attempt discrepancies in those stats above are more noteworthy than the percentages themselves.

Man is it a good time to be a Laker or what??

Lonzo,
Russell
Ingram
Randle
Zubac

In a Luke Walton's ball movement offense sounds very juicey. They are all really good passers. The only thing we have to hope works out is the defense.

Very impressed with Lonzo's demeanor after listening to the soundbytes. Forget Lavar and any "distractions" he may cause, this kid has his head on his shoulders.

I don't have a feel for any other potential picks, but our future will definitely be bright with him, BI, and Russ leading the helm.

Sure makes it seem like it's a true toss up on who's the lakers eventually pick

It's really too bad the media drove this narrative into the ground about Lonzo being a Laker. Now all of a sudden if Lonzo isn't picked, it will be deemed some sort of shocker.

I want to see it happen just to see the looking Lavar's face. I trust the Lakers will pick the best player possible but again I'm not falling for the Ball hype train. Reminds me of 2 years ago when everyone believed the Lakers would pick Okafor because of the history of great Lakers bigs.

Yeah it came across as a bad blatant smokescreen. Like hey Ding, say we didn't get blown away and also hype up every other top prospect every time you bring them up.

These were the interesting bits:

New Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson has been involved at every step of the predraft process, including stepping in during workouts to ask prospects to do something on the spot that he believes is important to see.

Jackson is the only forward among the four, but the Lakers are not expected to decide based on position. The organizational goal is to get to a point where the team is playing largely positionless basketball the way Walton’s former team, the Golden State Warriors, do—with current youngsters Brandon Ingram, D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson all already capable of bringing the ball up the floor.

Lakers view Russell as a combo guard

Hearing the words "Organizational" "Goal" was refreshing after the logicless madness of the past 4 seasons.

For every Ding, Schultz, etc. smoke-filled article, you get one of these:

http://nesn.com/2017/06/heres-why-colin-cowherd-believes-lakers-will-never-pass-on-lonzo-ball/

“The Lakers don’t want to appear desperate for Lonzo Ball,” Cowherd said, as transcribed by FOX Sports’ Nick Schwartz. “They don’t want to appear locked into Lonzo Ball, because the (Boston) Celtics have the No. 1 pick … the Lakers don’t want to get used by the Celtics, who could threaten to take Lonzo (and) put the Lakers in a very precarious position.

“You think the Lakers have the leverage? No, they don’t. Lonzo Ball has the leverage here,” Cowherd said. “He is instant commerce. Lonzo’s going to have a nice career without the Lakers. The Lakers have not had momentum in years, that’s why they signed Kobe Byant (in 2013). Time Warner was demanding they give them a star, because Time Warner pays the Lakers a lot every year. It’s a massive deal. Time Warner said ‘sign Kobe or no money, we’re not signing a deal.’ “The Lakers will set every NBA summer league attendance and TV rating record if Lonzo Ball is a Laker. So this report that the Lakers aren’t interested, or are not locked into Lonzo Ball is laughable. They need him more than he needs them.”

"Ball or Bust Ladies"... Lets be REAL... GS is legit... We are better served "staying young" and developing... Ball, Russell & Ingram is a solid core... Lets give it a chance...

Didn't Lonzo say he wasn't going to work out for the Keltics?

If I were Danny Ainge, I'd be a bit weary to lose him as soon as his rookie contract is up. Not sure the insecurity it would create on their roster would be good for team spirit. No matter what Lonzo says about willing to play for any team, Ainge knows that Lonzo's least favorite team in the NBA is the Celtics, that his dad hates the white and green.

If I were Ainge, I'd pick Jackson.

If Ball is gone after number 1 goes, they'd better pick him. He's a fierce competitor, I'd love to add him to our roster.

Russell
J Jackson
Ingram
Randle
Zubać

Good roster to build a champ team from, assuming we'll make a decent trade or two at some point, too.

Sounds like Jackson, but maybe fox too... That said, there has to be a logic leap to thing either of those guys belong on the same tier as Ball and Fultz... So my guess is smoke screen.... We're either taking Ball or Fultz, and like the rest of the nation, we have Fultz slightly higher than Ball, so if boston trades down and someone else picks Ball or whatever, first, we're taking Fultz.

And then there is the few of us who have had Ball #1 in draft all season long, much before we landed the #2 pick. Hell, I was even hoping we land the #2 that night to make it the easier decision for the Lakers FO.

Nobody wants to really go in on the Fultz vs. Ball debate, because we want him to 'fall' to #2.

add your pick and I'll let you know in a little

No offense I dont know, I'm thinking Ball isn't anything special. Just the vibe I get off this kid. Good kid, good passer, tall PG, but I dont know. I can't wait for summer league to get an idea. You guys should target Jackson he's going to be a great player. Trade Russell and to the Suns for Bledsoe and their first next season and draft Jackson. The Lakers will be a attractive, championship team in a few years.

Sure, we get to play against a Russell - Booker backcourt for the next 10 years while Bledsoe's knee promptly degenerates and we are stuck with another gimp ex-Suns PG.

BUTT the Suns aren't a good team and could have a second lottery pick. I'm not expecting the Lakers to compete next season so there could be two lottery next season for you guys with guys like Jackson and Ingram on the rise.
