Lin for Lance and Brook for Nash + Hill?

lol why would the Nets trade Brook Lopez for Jordan Hill? Maybe if you included Julius Randle

Not really sure on feasibility or even accuracy of the reports, hence the question mark, but Nets media is talking about Lopez not coexisting well with Joe Johnson's game since both are ballstoppers and that they are playing better while Lopez has been injured. If so, maybe Hill's game would be more suited in that system. And of course this is a Laker board for discussion and the question was more if it was possible. But understandably, very long shot even if he really loses favor with the nets since they could probably get more elsewhere, but who knows?

I don't think there is any possibility in us absorbing Deron's long term contract. Worse than Kobe's.

Lakers have all the expiring contracts in the world to not need another team in any cap clearing trade.

Why would we give up a young stud like Randle for a washed-up second tier PG?

More likely than Deron would be a trade for Brook Lopez, although I like Deron more. Lopez would be a fairly easy deal since he'd be an expiring next year and we could likely make a three-way deal with Charlotte who gets Nash and perhaps Kelly.

I like Lopez when he has a high rebounding, shot-blocker next to him like Ed Davis. That would give the starters the scoring punch they need. Then I'd put Jordan Clarkson out there at starting PG to spread the floor and play D while Kobe and Brook pound defenses. Jordan Hill would then be L.A.'s super-sub again.

PG- Clarkson, Lin
SG- Bryant, Ellington
SF- Johnson, Young
PF- Davis, Boozer
C- Lopez, Hill, Sacre

I think you quoted the wrong word... That said, tell yourself what you want, nobody is going to trade away cheap young talent for DWill at this point in his career.
You need to be thinking along the lines of who you can throw in to entice a team to take on that ugly contract. Nobody is going to help the Nets fix the terrible cap situation they got themselves in for free.

And aside from that, there's no reason the Lakers would trade Randle right now... Aside from finding out he was a Jihadist... He's young, talented, dirt cheap, and his value is depressed right now due to injury... It'd be a dumb move.

Looks like Brooklyn is playing very strong without Brook and Boston looks better without Rondo. It's usually fool's gold, but I think L.A. can take advantage of that. I really like Rondo-Lopez in terms of a pick and pop P and R duo. I think Kobe is best as an off the ball these days and the great thing about Rondo is that he showed against L.A. that he can hit that midrange. It's not as good as open as a dead eye three point shooter but he's pretty efficient from there.

Hornets kind of need spacing and playmaking, Jordan hill doesn't do much for them. A package of Lin and kelly might move the needle.

If this was 2008 this trade wouldn't be fair for us. Now its horrible.

Nets are old and we have enough old players. I wouldn't want anything on the nets.

Ever since Bynum I have no interest in guys that can get injured by just walking.

Would Lakers jeopardize there future cap space to offer Boston Lin, Nash and Hou 1st for Rondo and Green? Lakers do this because they don't believe in tanking and Boston gets out of green contract next year and get a 1st rounder?
