Still doing tissue engineering, but now it's vascular tissue instead of the cartilage work I was doing before. My research this summer will be on characterizing and modeling the tissue surrounding the aorta in from healthy people and from patients that suffered from various ailments like various aortic aneurysms and valve disorders. The idea is to find the local structural flaws that are leading to the diseases.


I really wanted to do a project with this surgeon that would have had immediate clinical applications in how they treat Crone's disease, but it involved 3D modeling and math that I hadn't done before.

apply for job, wait 4 days to a week, call them, inquire about your application, wait another 2 days, call again.

Seems to work for me.

i try that too. hopefully it works this time. it seems nowadays you show up or call and the manager treats you like **** most of the time. maybe i just show up at the wrong time who knows. i'll call this time lol
