Got a Condolence Card in the mail today from the Animal Hospital... Nice thought... But kinda brings it all back.
my condolences.
My dog is 9 years old and I worry about the day that he dies. I am really close to him.
Thanks man, my other dog is probably about 18 and I don't want to have to make the same decision again. Hoping for a peaceful not waking up in the morning deal.
We probably let the first one go too long but when they're up and around, it's hard to make that call.
very true, I put down my first dogs two falls ago, 2 brothers we got when they were only 3 months old. one of them began falling to his side one morning and getting seizures, so we immediately left to the vet and had to put him down. the other one had a tumor near his groin, it would bleed and id clean it. i knew i couldn't do anything to help him but i just didnt want to make that call. finally one evening i just couldn't do it anymore after breaking down during a clean up and did what was necessary less than a month after his brother was put down. that christmas was easily the unhappiest i've ever been.
as carlin so well said, life is a series of dogs
