Not bad though with Conley, clarkson, Durant, Randle and cousins. Could this be something our front office is thinking? Just thought I'd share.

You'd trade Russell for the #5 from Minny?

Dude they'd do that trade and you'd be fired by this same afternoon for doing that.

Russell has much more value than that long term and so flipping him would be a costly mistake.

I say keep the kids, with Russell, Randle AND Ingram being on the Team USA Select team, they'll develop some nice chemistry heading into summer league, minus Randle and Clarkson that is.
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

I like the rationalization going on here. I don't care if he's concerned with money and fame as long as he realizes the best way to get those things is to be the best basketball player possible. As to your concerns over his fitness commitment:

fame and money with being a great player are not usually exclusive, but I do get your point.

Thats going to be an interesting starting five where their big men cans shoot for crap. I wonder how long it takes simmons to develop a respectable jumper.

Congrats to LA. Obviously it's a bummer to miss out on a guy with major questions about his shooting, defense, length, and maturity as those guys have a tremendous track record of success, but Ingram is a great consolation prize.

Yes! Brandon Ingram is ours for the taking! So happy Sixers decided on Simmons.

Like we were trying out players for other teams.
Was thinking maybe we were targeting Cousins and #8 with #8 also being moved. I've had this feeling for a while that Mitch has something up his sleeve... Starting to wonder if #2 isn't the centerpiece in it.
:D

I don't think #2 and everyone not named Russell is enough for Boogie, so I think #8 would have to be moved for something to sweeten the pot... But #2 and Russell, might be enough... Maybe throw in Lou and Swaggy for salary... Or even S/T Clarkson?

Take Hield at 8 and have
Clarkson
Hield
Durant?
Randle
Cousins

That could work...

But today, I just feel like we're going to be happy with Ingram.

You must be new around here...I've been on the Ingram hype train since the season started. So yes I'm happy that we're getting the player I wanted all along. Not trying to say Sixers are making the wrong decision...

Anyway, good luck trying to fit all those guys on your team.

Prefer Simmons over Ingram but barely. I was happy to just get a top 3 pick and ecstatic to have the 2nd. Adding the #2 pick to our core was like winning the draft lottery. We already have some real nices pieces at 3 out 5 positions, now we'll be filling up that SF spot hopefully.

I do wonder though, which big man will we target? They all seem out of our range at this point unless we reach for the rawest of raw bigs

1. Bender (3-7)
2. Labissiere (6-12)
3. Poeltl (7-12)
4. Ellenson (9-14)
5. Sabonis (9-14)
6. Davis (12-17)
7. Diallo (16-23)
8. Zubac (19-24)
9. Zizic (24-30)
10. Qi (24-34)

Dx has Zhou Qi lower but i still think he goes in the 1st

For Zizic, I'd flip Lou to the Clips for #25 & 33 or Lou + 32 to the Sixers for #24 & #26 and get a big plus DeAndre Bembry if he's still there.

#2 Ingram
#24 Zizic / Zubac / Qi
#26 Bembry

Russell - Huertas
Clarkson - Bembry
Ingram - Brown - Young
Randle - Nance - (FA Vet spot)
Zizic - (FA Vet spot) - Black

Dump Young on a buy out and we'd have 75 mil or so to spend... lots of possibilities to add big FAs now or in the coming seasons
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

 I had no idea.I posted that because I was listening to a nba pod cast and apparently no lottery projected draft pick have worked out for the kings. They're all declining. Or at least that's what one of the guys on the nba podcast said. So I just figured the kings would hop at a chance to get the number 2 pick and stay over. Depending on what you believe, Jeff Goodman of espn said Mitch has confidence in russell which is why he picked him at 2. Which kinda points to russell not being traded.

Now take Brandon Ingram. Have a #14 in purple and gold ready to go. Don't over think this!

Dude missed his senior prom to work on his game and he doesn't like partying either. I think we found a keeper.

The only reason to trade Russell is if Randle and Clarkson were severely affected by the "video" and theres 0% chance of repairing the relationship. That being said, I don't think he gets traded, specially for a draft pick (how do you justify a dump like this), it'd have to be for an established player.

Might be wrong about this, but kind of happy that the Sixers are picking Simmons at 1 and leaving Ingram to us.

Russell has the most potential out of Randle and Clarkson, no way we trade him.

Russell
Clarkson
Ingram
Randle
Nancy

give them 5 years, we will be back.
