If this is true, they should trade Randle and Clarkson. Russell is by far the better prospect.

Clarkson's stood by D this whole time, so I don't think there will be an issue with the young guys going forward.

Ben Simmons to be selected by Philly!

I couldn't be happier for the Lakers to have the opportunity to select Ingram...

Let's hope they don't make some funky deal.

In the 1 in 100000000000 chance both KD and LeBron end up with the Lakers I can see the Lakers drafting somebody other than Ingram as his skills would be redundant alongside KD's. At that point the Lakers would probably be better off selecting a shooting guard or a dominant defensive/rebounding big.

It's not like I would have been bummed by Simmons at #2, but I've been on the Black Mantis bandwagon since mid way through the college season and the more I watched and read the more I became worried he'd go #1. Todays news is a big relief.

I think this means the 76ers should be renamed 4/5ers because 4 of their starters are 4s or 5s.

Its a relief since Brandon is a better prospect. You guys will be shocked on how similliar Ben Simmons vs Julius Randle is, or Dario Saric. Ben probably better natural playmaker than both of them tho.

Can't wait for Brandon Ingrammmmmm

So happy for this! I like Simmons and I hope he does well in Philadelphia but Ingram has been my guy from the jump. He fits the team perfectly on and off the court.

Ingram's gonna fit right in here. Really excited. Make it official already.

Yup, all we need now is a center!

Would be sweet to get one of the bigs in this draft, it's my top hopeful for the #32
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance

I hope this guy becomes a superstar, someone's gotta fill the void left by Kobe.

The kid seems very likable. Fairly well spoken also... An attribute that's a huge plus in my book.

So in your scenario not only would the Lakers skip on the BPA in Ingram (who also has the most trade value) but draft and keep yet another guard and pair lebron & KD with a rookie instead of packaging and trading for another star.

I couldn't resist... but please everyone be careful not to flame or troll if you do end up chiming in. I think the 76er posters here have been careful not to for the most part since the lottery and even if they hadn't it would not be an excuse to insight flame wars.

The one with the mod claiming that the Lakers are delusional is the best one. As if this guy has any real insight to the Lakers thought process outside of what x reporter writes.

Nothing better than a "insert foot in mouth" type post from the board's finest.

He also moderates the pro wrestling forum, not the olympic sport but the one with oiled up dudes in tights grabbing each other.

I like their other mods who also moderate the trade board so please don't go trolling there.

The thread was fun to read and there was nothing on there for any Laker fans to be upset about. No reason to go trolling them.

They are just a bunch of guys excited their team isn't drafting Darko Milicic.. ;)
