Dont get it twisted, nothing has changed!

The real season is about to begin!

Remember this comment last year?

But all Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith could talk about in TNT studios was how the Lakers don’t deserve to win the championship because of some perceived lack of effort (Barkley making the initial statement, and Kenny Smith agreeing with him).

I also recall Mark Jackson having something to say as well. In any event, How'd that work out? Although I will say that the Lakers always give the media something to talk about.

This team is so pathetic they're fans are actually asking to be put out of their misery as closure to the season, once again, no surprise. I'm actually enjoying this. Giving up 117 to the Rockets, while allowing their former one-dimensional teammate to rip them a new one with 39, they're coming off a back to back, and have tanked 9 out of their last 10. Even Ariza flexed his arms and came away smiling with a 10-18 shooting night. Rockets trailed by 14 early on in the game but the tank was on so, if the probability of the Lakers being down double digits in this one, not to worry. Their defense is non existent. I'd like for us to go into the playoffs with at least a couple of wins under the belt. If we have to pound a dead horse to get there while listening to the moans of some familiar desperate fans, I'll take it. Yes, this pleases me. ;)

Wow some people take sports fandom overboard. Kings are terrible, of course we know it. That's how sports goes. You have stretches where you are good and stretches where you rebuild. Kings are rebuilding. Therefore, I want the Lakers to win so we can get the best possible shot at an impact player in this draft. Sorry that the Kings aren't fortunate enough to always be good because of ownership, location and what appears to be divine luck sometimes. Maybe in a few years when the Lakers are capped out on an aging Kobe, Odom, Gasol, and Artest with their only young talent being Bynum, the Lakers will be suffering these losses too eh? No reason to be an arrogant prick, but I forgot its an internet forum why even bother.
