O.T. Brandon Roy-Torn Meniscus

Well if I had to bet on it, I would bet that the Blazers fall to the 8th seed and there is your first round matchup for L.A.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy has a torn meniscus in his right knee and his status for the playoffs is uncertain.

The best bet would've been to play like we gave a rat's ass and won yesterday's game against a Royless Blazers. But that's quite obviously not what happened. It doesn't really matter who we play against in the playoffs, if we keep playing with this type of mentality, it's just a matter of time before we get knocked out.

wow Portland cannot catch a break. Whats in the water over there?

Anyway does it matter who we play first, second, or third? If we weren't going to play them in one round chances are we would play them in another. Its like you guys are hoping for an injury of some sort to happen so that we face a team with no confidence. The way I look at it about 5 other teams can come out of this conference and get to the NBA Finals. If we want to get to the Finals we need to play the best out there. Avoiding your opponents only exposes your weakness.

Sorry to hear about Brandon Roy. Unfortunately, I think even without him the Blazers can still beat us.

what mentally? that regular season games are more important then playoff games , you think the lakers think this way of course not.. for every ban wagoner out there (pretty much everybody on this board) just relax and untill the lakers get knocked out of the playoffs then talk your crap but til then YOU DONT KNOW SHEIT

Actually maybe I shouldnt be a betting man, because a Blazer win here, avoids an 8th seat if I am not mistaken...

Sucks for Portland, but it just gives Rudy and Bayless a chance to play, and I think both are really underused players with a lot of upside.

Sucks, i really like Roy and I would have loved to see them go at Dallas or Denver with him. Camby has basically filled the Oden role and their rotation is finally solid...

I think they still match up well though, hopefully they will get whoever a good run, they still matchup decently with most of the top teams.

Not sure how i want this to play out now, I kinda hope SA losed to Dallas as that will be an epic first round, but if they draw Denver somehow, they could actually beat them the way they are playing now.

Hmmm... West going to be fun....

The mentality of "let's coast for three quarters of every game and then try to win it with Kobe in the end." You really think that a team that plays like absolute garbage heading into the playoffs is just going to suddenly turn it on once the playoffs start? Playoff is not some magical potion that you drink and make everything wonderful. You prepare yourself throughout the regular season so that you can play well in the playoffs. With no bench, no point guard, no defense, no energy and no Kobe, exactly what made you think this team is going to win that championship? I am not a band wagoner, I just see things for what they are. I watch games with my eyes and brain, not my heart. As much as i love the Lakers, this year's team simply isn't prepared for a championsihp run. If you don't like my comments, make your argument, but clean up the language there.
