Sasha back soon, good or bad?

Post#1 » by Magicontinues » Wed May 5, 2010 8:36 pm

http://my.lakers.com/blogs/2010/05/05/5 ... a-vujacic/

If he could hit a three or two a game, he'd be worth coming back, he was starting to play well at the end of the year and was hopeful he could give us something.

If he can give us what he was starting to give us before he got hurt then we can sure as hell use him. I almost forgot that he has been gone because Phil used to rarely play him at times.

good

but don't expect him to pick up where he left off. before the injury he was actually attacking the basket and going for offensive rebounds, etc. seemed like he was making a concerted effort to make his game more dynamic. coming back from this injury i don't expect to see any of that, just same old sasha sitting behind the line and chucking. hopefully his pesky D helps us out tho, can't be any worse than farmar and brown.

Don't bet on it. Farmar and Brown at least occassionally get a steal or two for us whereas Vujacic is nothing but a foul machine.

As always, if he can hit a shot or two, play him, if not, keep his ass glued to the bench.

Yep, we could use him instead of Luke Walton right now. Luke's injuries have really affected him and his jump shot.

i saw that since sasha has been sidelined it has helped his shoulder injury heal as well.. given that it will take some time to get back in the swing of things.. we may see, finally, a healthy sasha out of the floor.. knowing that he is healthy might give him an extra boost in his confidence..

knowing that youre playing pain free has to be better for your mentality than going into every game telling yourself you have to play through pain and produce the same numbers..

so i think that sasha coming back will help us if he can round back into form..

haha true that!

watchin the game last night.. i was watchin ron get layups and hit a couple free throws thinking he would into a rhythm and actually hit a jumper..... but..... nope... still couldnt.. idk what his problem is.. was he ever this bad at shooting?? if i remember correctly he shot like 40+% last year with houston while guarding the high caliber players of the league.. i really hope he finds someeee sort of rhythm soon.. because he if he can start making one every now n then and sasha can come back and contribute i think we can really start rollin cuz right now utah is doubling kobe n gasol off ron ron.. if he hits some shots they cant do that and will open up kobe n gasol who are already having a great series so far.

maybe ron and sasha should have some shooting competitions in practice or something lol idk.. ron.. just shoot the ball dammit!

If I was Phil Jackson I would make him run around the court 100 times so he gets tired then make him take 1000 3 pointers so he could practice shooting while being tired. During the regular season he made almost 40% of his threes so I think he's missing his shots because he's chasing down the best players in the NBA and he's probably getting really tired.

All players are needed to win games on the road or at home. If Sasha can come and give Kobe 5 minutes of rest a game. Then he is worth it. Or give the Lakers a PG and allow OL to play his rebounding spot, then it is a plus.

I think he will come back to the playoffs like Bynum came back last year. He wasn't that efficient. Even though good things were going for Sasha it will probably be really hard for him to get back into the rhythm. It sucks the injury happened. It was the last game of the regular season. What are the odds of something like that happening.

Pesky defender = good for the WCF and beyond

Just get him to stop flopping

I hope Sasha is suspended for 5 games at the beginning of next season (saving us luxury tax) for all the flopping he did this year. Sometimes Sasha is an ass brain.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

I believe that the WCF start in week regardless if we win tomorrow. This could mean that Sasha could be back just in time for the Suns.

Anybody think Sasha is known for that much flopping?

My hope is that Sasha like Fisher 9 yrs ago practiced his 3pt shooting while he was out so when he comes back he can be the Sasha of 2 yrs ago for the last 2 rounds of the playoffs.
