Wantin' Who... SA or PHX?

I'll preface this by saying, I'm a 41 year long Suns fan, and strangely not a Laker hater (DeepC3L back me up, buddy). Actually I'm an admirer of the Lakers doings. I'm not baiting...just curious.
Who do you want...PHX or SA?
I understand, you feel confident you can handle either...and I agree with that assessment. Gun to my head, if my Suns can take care of the Spurs (I'm not stupid...Suns/Spurs will go 7 games).... we're gonna get killed (mostly) by your frontline in 4 or 5 games...maybe stretching it to 6 if RoLo plays.
But just curious...who are Laker fans routing for as a WCF opponent, Spurs or Suns?
Dare I phrase it..."who do you fear as the greater threat... The Spurs or The Suns?
Just asking.

Nothing personal, but payback is a bitch. We gotta make up for past years. I'll be looking forward to seeing you guys in the next round...

That's what sucks in this Suns "unexpected" rise ...you guys actually do owe us a good thumping.

I'll preface this by saying, I don't like some of you Suns fans as of late.
That said, I'm pulling for the Suns. Given the way your team has been playing as of late, (if they can maintain their level of play on the road against Pop's team), then I'd like to see a Suns/Lakers western conference finals. Deep down, I'm actually a big fan of Steve Nash and impact he's had on Phoenix through his years there. However, this is the playoffs and that's where my gushy goody feelings end. I'd LIKE to see the Lakers battle tested prior their date with the Finals. Call that a cocky statement, but realistically, we are dealing with one of the easiest road to the Finals since I can remember.
The complacency isn't exactly a good thing at the moment, though. If either San Antonio or Phoenix can bring it like the Nuggets did in last years WCF then in result, it'll bring in the best out of this club. Which is what desire looking at the potential series ahead.

What up ChrisInAZ ! Yeah I know you're not a hater man......you're too old for that foolish crap. Anyway we got history with both of you, the greater threat is the Spurs simply because of the amount of playoff battles we've had the last 10 years or so.
On the other hand like I told ya boy DaDragicShow, we owe that ass a good whipp'in. But not getting ahead or ourselves we still have a potent Jazz team to deal with over the weekend. It's not going to be easy.
But our game plan for either is the same........pound the ball in the interior at all cost.

Bullseye KB8MVP! When i think of San Antonio, i think... Well Gasol and Bynum could use some practice/roughing-up before Howard comes along. These two dinosours haven't seen difficulty all playoffs long. I mean... Big fundamental vs. Spanish Fundamental... plus one more good PG combo to give DFish Hell before he has to deal with JNelson. It would further prepare us.
But when i think Suns...ugh! Payback! With the exception of beating down Boston, i don't think There is anything sweater than smashing the Phoenix suns.

Hey Chris.. I often wonder if your team is really that good or if they are just playing out of their minds... i haven't been keeping up... but Where did Dudley come from? Why is grant Hill not getting any older? And Frye presents so much problems... and the Team got so deep... my gosh... your coach deserves alot of respect i guess.

phhhht...Utah! Done and done...maybe the Mormon-intimidated refs will get the Jazz one win, but you're in.
Don't sleep on the Suns, if they get there...trust me, they aren't your little brother's Suns. Depth, defensive commitment(no foolin')...true team chemistry.
I know you've been predicting their downfall from the get-go (I don't blame ya), but I'm telling you they got something fairly special brewing. There's a special commitment...this is a college-like team. Easily said, but they really seem to be on a mission. Amare has become a well-rounded, smart player, JRich finally "gets it" after some time, Nash is still doing his thing, Hill has re-invented himself has a defensive stalwart/clutch scorer...and the bench is deep, high energy and effective.
As I wrote in the original post...I'd pick the Lakers for sure, but if you are coloring/connecting this Suns team with the D'Antoni/SSOL teams, you're wrong...they're a very different animal.
This team is not to be taken lightly...or more simply, as if they are "the Suns of old." Unfortunately, I know Jackson, Kupchak and Kobe are too smart not to recognize who these guys are if they get there.

Suns got Dudley almost as a throw-in in the Raja Bell/Boris Diaw for JRich trade with Charlotte in December '08
The athletically challenged Dudley is one of the fan favorites 'cuz he busts his butt every second on the court...he's a charector and a team leader ...and let's us fans into the team vibe

Lakers will smoke either of them.....
I think a better question is Magic or Cavs???

^lakers will not "smoke" either of them. I'm hoping for the Suns for two of the reasons that have been stated:
1) Revenge factor...nothing sweeter than if we get Suns then Celtics.
2) Spurs are a tougher opponent (for us).
Props to the Suns for sure, tho. They are a beauty to watch and that second unit is what basketball is all about...Larry Brown would be proud. I think all the credit in the world goes to Alvin Gentry. Seems like a great guy so I like seeing him succeed.

Suns games would have a better flow than a pair of half court sluggers trying to clog the paint.

My favorite Kobe Bryant moment to date. Word can describe how wild I went after seeing it happen.

Suns fan here. I bring you all love and peace and not trying to piss you off or anything. It would be difficult to pick the Suns to beat the Lakers even if Lopez comes back. Odom, Bynum and Gasol are a major inside force and will be hard to stop in a 7 game series. Even my dad that is a huge Suns fan picked us to finally beat the Spurs this year, unlike other years where he knew Spurs were better. I asked him what he thought about Suns-Lakers series and he said Lakers are to dominant and will win in 5 maybe 6.

Anywayz it would be a fun series and who knows what can happen? The ball is round and anything is possible if the Suns make it to the western conference finals.

Honestly I want to play the Suns both from the fact that I semi like the suns, mostly Nash (blasphemous?) but also because I think we match up better.
The Spurs scare me just a little, not that I don't think we can beat them, I think we can wear Timmy down with our bigs, but their multiple options with Parker, Ginobli and Hill give us trouble and their defense is better. And we've beaten them before so I kinda hope you guys get your revenge on them, and then we exact ours on you

I've been impressed with the increased defensive efforts of the Suns, honestly I thought they'd lose that game 2 because they wouldn't be able to stop all of SA's scorers but they managed to put together a nice game. I think you guys will struggle in SA personally though, I think that is going to be a 6/7 game series. Which if we can get the Jazz in 5 or 6 would be great for us to sit and wait at home for the winner, gives us a pretty big game 1 advantage.
But yeah, JRich playing out of his head makes me a little nervous because normally he wets himself every time he faces Kobe, one of the reasons we've faired so well vs the Suns recently, but we'll just sick Ron Ron on him

The Suns bench is awesome though, scrappy... I'd trade our bench for them right now in a heartbeat (aside from LO of course)

I think San Antonio will be easier to beat, but I want more of a challenge so the lakers can be more tested so I'm pulling for the Suns. Also I want them to finally beat the Spurs.

Either way I feel confident in us making the finals for the 3rd straight year
