I heard some talk about what Bynum has is similar to Portlands Roy came back in 8 days, If Bynum could have had the surgury before the game 4 at Utah, he would have had a week off, and could have been back healthy, why didn't they do that"? It's sad to see him so hobbled, we are going to need him. Should have done it.

Did you see Roy play? He was terrible out there... Why get surgery come back early and then risk having to have surgery AGAIN?
It'd be nice if Bynum could play like he did earlier in the season but the Lakers can get by with limited production from him. At the very least it's better than getting no production from him.

He's in danger now of hurting it worse, so I don't see a difference. I thought Roy looked pretty good, Bynum is a center that doesn't have to move as much as him, and he looks HORRIBLE out there now. At least if we got it done, he could have been much better by the finals, with another week of there.

Another postseason without this guy. 3 in a row, and some Lakers fans still put him over Pau. He could be great if he stays healthy, but his injury prone azz is killin our roster. Better pray Pau or Odom wont have a cold or sinusitis....OH Wait...

Some put him over Pau? Who would that be?

i thought the time tables reported for a possible bynum comeback from surgery was 6-8 weeks. maybe i'm wrong but as said before, roy was hardly the same roy during the playoffs. bynum's got a week off so hopefully that helps

http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/meniscu ... niscus.htmA meniscus serves to evenly distribute weight across the knee joint. When one's meniscus is compromised it could do a host of bad things to the rest of the knee.
Bynum must have only a partially torn meniscus. I am sure they will continue evaluating it though after every game to ensure it doesnt tear worse. If it was totally torn, no way do the Lakers let him play through.

Bynum is learning how to be tough.
A very important lesson for a 22 year old.

Bynum surgery = reports he'll be back in 6-8 weeks. In 4 weeks says he's doing better, timetable looks good.
Actually comes back in 16.
No bueno.

Bynum time table for return from surgery has never been accurate, Dr. say 6-8 weeks is more like half of the season and in this case in time for Finals if LA makes it mean by All-star break next season.

There is no going back now.
Bynum needs to shoot more because his knee is in his head. 4 and 4 and blocks tonight (although I thought he caught a steal that didnt show up in the box score)
We need Bynum to step up to win the Finals. We also may need MBenga to fight who ever tries to cheap shot Bynum and take him out. Couldnt believe Amare said he wants to bang up Bynum more.
Bynum now is a target out there.
