Game Analysis

The Lakers must continue to control tempo, rebound and defend the 3 point line. The Lakers did all three in Game 1, the Suns shot 22% from 3. They had 34 rebounds but shot 49% overall. The Lakers will continue to smother the Suns offense if Stoudemire and Nash can't get on track, the Lakers bottled up their pick and roll and erased their 3 point shooting.

The key is to not helping on Nash, limit his ability to reverse the ball and the Suns can't get 3's which makes their offense function. Without any inside game it's going to be hard for the Suns to score consistently.

Keys To Winning Game 2

LO - he must stay active throughout the game, the Suns have no match up for him. If Suns fans think Channing Frye is going to slow LO, their in serious denial. Frye isn't a banger, LO's problems only come when his guy will body up on him.

Rebounding - It's a must to beat them down on the boards, over the course of this series they will slowly submit once they see they can't win that battle. They're depending on Amare and Lopez to grab most of them.

Tempo - Simple.........control it you win the game. The Suns can't function in a half court set against the Lakers. They will get the urge to run and this will be the own self destruction, they'll start turning the ball over at a high rate giving the Lakers more easy opportunities for baskets.

No let down, keep the pedal to the metal. I'm expecting more of an impact from Pau and hopefully 'Drew is a bit more of a factor, like to see him get it going. Kobe is gonna be Kobe, even with Grant "the Kobe Stopper" Hill guarding him. Lamar looks like he's in this series for the long haul, no disappearing acts in this series for him The Suns won't shoot that poorly from three that often, but we'll still get whatever we want on offense. Stick to the gameplan.

As I said on the GB, LO has had these types of games before, and usually has a bunch of them in a row. I hope he's turned it on and keeps it on for the next round too.

:rocking: :rocking: :rocking:

Try playing slightly better and the Suns have no chance !

Our defense should tighten up a bit.

Go Lakers !!

Whoa now fellas, you know kobe wont be able to get his game going against a vet defender like Grant Hill!!!

I loved how we came out and sent a message, game two should be no less of an effort. We need to finish this early and often during these next three games to heal our wounds for what will be a physical series if all goes as it should.

i actually thought grant hill did a good job on kobe, but couldn't stay out of foul trouble. he made kobe work for his shots, and thats all you can really do.

lamar looks like he wants revenge. he looked really pumped up in game one and was very aggressive from the get-go.

With Lamar being this aggressive I don't think Drew needs to be out there. It sucks that he just disappeared the way he did. Games 1 and 2 of the Utah series he was killing it and now hes nowhere to be found. As of now it looks like the guys that said we don't need Drew for this series were right.

A Lakers W followed by a loss in game 3 and announcers everywhere saying the sky is falling and the Lakers will lose, before the Lakers win a close one in game 4 and in a blowout in game 5...

1. Artest has no idea when to shoot the three. He also forgets he's a threat in the paint with either hand, with his stone body. Then when he gets a three within rhythym he passes on it because he's missed a ton of threes out of rhythm prior to, it's frustrating.

2. The Lakes got jump shot happy, they just happen to nearly all go in. They were well up in the third and they weren't running any offense, just jacking.

3. The Suns aren't going to miss those wide open threes all series, the Lakers were fortunate they were clanking, because they were wide open looks.

4. Kobe was on fire last night, it looked like an exhibition game. The Lakes can't bank on that every game .

5. If they're is start to finish effort, especially on the D end, it's a sweep, if not it's 5 games.

P.S. Suns fan there was a stretch of about three bad calls all in the Lakers favor right when Grant got his T, I agree, but no way that was the reason you lost. There was one quick make up call, so I counted a total of 2 clear bad calls myself. That's not enough to cry conspiracy theory. The Suns couldn't hit shi*, Amare is clearly not as BIG as you think he is, especially when he plays the Lakers (he looks like he's 6-8 when he plays the Lakers, and he doesn't do a whole lot other than score. Amare owes half his salary to Nashty, he'll never look this good again, unless he plays with an elite PG or LBJ.

Amare is still going at it. First Bynum, then Gasol and now Lamar. When is this dude going to learn. Suns fans sure do take after their players.
