If you were Lebronica James....

Post#1 » by DubaLakers » Wed May 19, 2010 6:20 pm

What would you do?

I'd go to NYC, no doubt, start my own legend status, become the global icon he wants to be. Di'Antoni is a very good coach no reason he can't be the coach. NYC has no spending limit.

NYC is begging for a superhero, Lebron would truly be the king of New York, anywhere else he would just be Lebron. He would run New York.

That to me would all be the easy part. The hard part would be who the heck do I want to roll with? Wade? Bosh? Lucky Charmer Amare?

It has to be Wade as the #1 piece right? I know the Heat would love to have LBJ go to MIA, but if I was LBJ I'd say naw dog you come to NYC, you come to me. If Lebron brought a championship to New York, the Knicks would be hotter than the Yankees.

However, all Lebron does is make bad decisions, so my guess is he won't go to New York.

Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I'd go to Chicago to get a decent supporting cast in a basketball town that is still very passionate about it's teams and stars

Obvious choice is Lakers or Celtics. Two of the most storied franchises. Everything he does with either one of them just makes whatever he's achieved that much better.

But wouldn't you want the excitment of saving a City from basketball purgatory like NYC, the supposed best city in the world? Chicago he'll never eclipse Jordan, LA not a chance, Boston is running on fumes.

NYK for sure, Chi is better core but NYK offers better hype and doesn't have to try and live up to Jordans legacy.

yeah but lebron has to shoulder alot of the blame. it has been reported that he vetoed trades. he told them who he wanted and they did basically what he wanted as best they could.

If I'm LeBron I go wherever I can be in the best position to win the most amount of rings.

I consider:

A) the organization's track record with winning
B) the coach
C) the current roster
D) the potential roster after free agency
and
E) the role I'd play (ie. his best role IMO is floor general)

So I sign with the Lakers or the Magic or maybe the Heat but I have reservations about him and Wade playing together because of the similiarities of their games.

Well staying in Cleveland he can get 125 million. Any place else he can only get 95 million. So does he give up 30 million. I think he will be in C-town next year. It is all about the money.

Lebron in Orlando would be insane! Lebron would have his same role. But with a better cast/howard? Is it possible? Could they somehow turn Carter, Barnes and filler maybe?

Well for one I wouldn't stay in Cle. I'm personally well aware of staying too long in a place for hometown and family and friend loyalty when you could expand your horizon's elsewhere. Every man is free and so should he be without any debt to burden him just for being born in a place... poetic I know...

First I'd try to force a sign and trade to LA. I'm a fan of course so homer pick and I also want to live in Cali. Plus continuing on the winning tradition of someone else's legacy isn't a bad thing. Magic came on with Kareem aging and I don't think it diminished either of their legacies. Simple, you win in this town and you are set as a legend and an icon.

Second if that was a no go I'd look hard at the Clips. Again, LA and as good a chance as any to win as any of the other cap teams aside from Chicago.

I'd consider NY too. Chicago... meh, if I really wanted to win nomatter what SnT is the only way to go. Otherwise NY is a better choice. Being a hero in that city is unlike anything else anyone has to offer, especially if you can resurrect it and win there, that would give me the best chance to become truly legendary. At worst I end up like a Barkley or Malone, cept 10x more wealthy and famous, at best I'm the next Jordan, the GOAT. This could also probably be done with NJ, I'd have to try and guage the pulse of the city, but me I might take the ultimate challenge and go with the Knicks. They probably have the worst roster at this point lol.

Going anywhere else would be just... meh... earnin a paycheck. Maybe Dallas, warm, interesting owner, Dirk, large Texas fanbase, hot Texas women

This should be a near-no-brainer. I'd either sign with Dwyane Wade and potentially Chris Bosh down in Miami (they have the most cap space out of all the teams) and win titles for the next seven years, or sign a surprisingly-stacked Nets team given their immense cap space.

PG - */Arroyo/Chalmers
SG - Wade/Quentin Richardson/Daequan Cook*
SF - LBJ/Dorell Wright/James Jones*
PF - FA: Bosh/Haslem
C - */Joel Anthony/Jamaal Magloire

* Under Construction - Mainly because we all have no idea what Riley has up his sleeve.

or NJ...

PG - Harris
SG - FA: Joe Johnson/Courtney Lee
SF - LBJ/CDR
PF - Draft: Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins/Yi Jianlian
C - Lopez

Not a bad situation to slip into at all IMO.

If I were him, I'd go to play with Chris Bosh. The most likely place for that to happen would be NYK.

However, I think Bosh is going to go to Miami to play with Wade so I think Bron is going to the Nets.

it comes down to what does he want more; be a billionaire or win multiple champions

if he cares more about being lebrand then new york and new jersey are the obvious choices. and to the looks of it it seems like the billionaire owner has a plan up his sleeve and being how jay z fits in the picture, its kinda easy to speculate

Lebronica go to NY knicks it will be good for you and the NBA. I don't want to see you in Jordans shadow. You are a different player and NY will attract top free agents plus they got the cap. It may not happen the 1st year but it could happen soon if you get Bosh or Amare.

Miami and Orlando you can see do not have the intensity to have mutiple championships.
Don't mellow out in Florida go to NY coming from a LAL fan or sign a short contract
and come to LAL after Kobe gets too old.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
