OT - Trip to LA and SF

Post#1 » by J-Mart » Fri May 21, 2010 6:27 pm

Hey, I am from Chicago and I am making a trip out to San Francisco and Los Angeles for about a week. I have never been to California so f you guys could help me out with some ideas on what to do it would be appreciated. Right now the only major plans I have is to go to Alcatraz, a couple beaches in LA and charter fishing. Any ideas on places to eat would be helpful also. I have been told going to In-N-Out is a must. Any other ideas you can throw out to me would be awesome. Thanks guys!

in-n-out is a must, no doubt...if you can drive from l.a to sf(or vice versa) if you can, the drive is great...when yr in sf, at alcatraz, have a clam chowder in a bread bowl, after that, what is it you are into? everything you could want is here, so it is hard to narrow down what to do, i.e., if you like beer, there are a million great breweries , same with wine...etc...

I am open to everything, any touristy stuff works. We are actually driving from LA to SF since I have heard the drive is beautiful. Any good bars or breweries that you guys recommend would be awesome, we are staying near Fisherman's Wharf in SF and staying in Long Beach while making some trips to LA.

Take the 1 (goes along the beaches of Cali) from city to city.

Its the most beautiful drive in America and where all the car mags drive and then write the reviews. Stop in Santa Barbara for a snack when you are an hour outside of LA. Its a must,

There is so much to do at both places you don't need us. Make a day out of Hollywood and end up at Universal City and go to Howl at the Moon. That bar is one of the most fun. Lots of ladies, to meet but definitely not a club.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
