Wiretap - Bosh includes Lakers on his shortlist of 5 teams

Post#1 » by eckoner » Fri May 21, 2010 8:25 pm

"The agent for All-Star forward Chris Bosh has narrowed the list of his client's preferred teams down to five, sources told ESPN's Chad Ford at the NBA Combine in Chicago.
The list of teams, which includes the Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Knicks and Raptors."

Could this be the last days of Bynum in the purple and gold?

I would guess the Lakers shot at landing Bosh are pretty good but i am sure some of the others will go a bit harder in the pursuit of him signing with them.

What do you guys think?

PROS: Bynum's Size, Touch around the basket, Defense, Rebounds

CONS: He is injured too much, Does not always hustle

BOTTOM LINE: If Laker Management feels this is the best way to go, I am behind them 100%..

As a Laker fan, I am BEGGING Buss NOT to pull the trigger on any possible trade like this. We're perfectly balanced down low with Prescription Bynumol + Magnesiodom included. I love the dosage. Let Chris go down to Miami with Wade and Johnson.

I hate 2010 free agency. For some god damn reason ESPN can't keep the Lakers out of 2010 Free Agency and even if Bynum isn't mentioned everyone is going to assume that Bynum will be involved. There's a long break in between games so it wouldn't be absurd to think that Bynum might hear this.

If it's Bosh for for Bynum Lakers win big, the #3 FA after Wade and LBJ. What you guys think AB17 as he gets older is going to get healthier as he ages?

Stil does nothing for our PG issues.

So who is going to play center for us? Pau can't play 82 games as a 5 and neither can Bosh, Bosh has no defense so we lose our enforcer in the middle, Buss doesn't want to pay Phil but he will add a max fa to the payroll doesn't make sense

if you guys want him, hes yours IMO...tor is desperate and would gladly take bynum over beasley, lee or deng

however i dont know if its the right move for you given your chemistry and the fact that gasol/bosh upfront is weak defensively

Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I don't like the Pau/Bosh pairing. Plus I think Bynum's young enough (even if healthy) to take the backseat still on offense. Whereas having Kobe/Pau/Bosh seems too much to me.

bynum's latest nagging injuries have finally gotten me to like the idea of trading bynum for bosh.

fit wise it'll be like asking can gasol coexist with another gasol?

defensively other than howard I can't think of another center bosh can't guard nor a gasol and bosh frontline can't handle.

I think that is how many Bynum supporters are beginning to feel especially when you constantly have the media trying to pound these ideas into your head. I have said it in the past before but I kind of think that if Bosh doesn't have a focus on being a number 1 option then he will turn his focus more to defense and balance out his game here in L.A. It happened to Pau. From what I remember Gasol wasn't that good of a defender in Memphis. When he came to L.A he changed his mind set. Bosh is mobile so his help defense would look much better in L.A.

If this trade does go through everyone and their mothers will hate us. One concern for me is the rumors of Bosh having knee issues but with the knee Injuries that forced Bynum to sit out I think the Lakers would be ready for anything.

I think if Bosh can turn into a defensive monster it would be a great deal, the risk is there obviously with his gigantic contract but lets be honest here, if we get Bosh and it doens't work, who wouldn't want him later? Bynum is 1 more season ending injury away from being nothing more then a worthless expiring contract.

offensive fit I have no concerns, Bosh is just a much better version of Odom, I would even consider Bosh to be a better 3pt shooter then Odom as well if left open, and we all know how good this team is when Pau/Odom are on the floor together.

Just from talking to my friends (non Laker fans) they said the Lakers would be stupid not to pull the trigger on such a move if it was offered. Their main argument is look at your success in the playoffs and that is with Bynum playing with none to very little impact. That made me think that their point is pretty valid because Bosh could come in and actually have an impact in the playoffs that would be much more significant than Bynum's.

I have to admit that letting Bynum go would be hard at first but if the opportunity to get Bosh arose I'm sure the FO would think it through and make the best choice whether that it keeping Bynum or gettting Bosh.

I would pull the trigger on this trade. Only thing is I think it will mess up the team chemistry. I don't know if Bosh is willing to take a backseat in the offense. And I think it will mess with Lamar's play. Both Lamar and Bosh are going to want to play in the 4th quarter. Whereas Bynum is willing to sit in the 4th.

Bear in mind they say he'll probably just follow Lebron if he leaves Cleveland. So LA is a backup plan. And this is if the Raptors would accept Bynum after another injury. Guess I'm just being pragmatic here. We're saying we're fed-up with his injuries...I'm saying so are potential trading partners.

i dont get why people like bynum so much all i see is someone whos lazy. Gets paid more then what hes worth. Injure prone 24/7. No hustle. Not consistent. I would take Bosh over Bynum any day of the week
